Yea but marvel signed off on this. Sorry but I trust them more then people here saying it was the 8 not the 9. You can't tell from the screen grabs. For me Marvel allowing this is as good a confirmation as I need.

Mark 9 has a Silver Centurion style helmet. The ONLY thing you see clearly in the movie is the helmet and it is the Mark 7 style, which is also used on the Mark 8 and not any other HPP red and gold suit. It is closer to the Mark 8 than anything else, the helmet is the dead giveaway. The VFX team was being lazy and reusing assets and Hot Toys is being lazy and reusing assets, it happens, we're just pointing that out.

I have her coming and am happy to get her but I am NOT happy with the sculpt

It's a shame because I really want all the Avengers. I never did order her, even though I planned to. I really can't decide if I should order her, or just wait and snag her off eBay in a few months.

If you are ok with waiting then I'd say wait for CW and see if the HS improves. Or yeah get one off eBay later when they are cheaper!

It doesn't help my predicament that four IM-related figures were all announced this morning, and that I would rather spend my money on all four of them than Widow.

I'll probably just wait.

I think the Pepper figure is one of HT's worst likenesses of the past few years.

You must have missed one obscure release, named "Han Solo."

She'll look great washing dishes at the sink in my new display

Nah I never split anything up because at some point I'll run out of space or change interests and sell so it's always good to keep everything.

Hrm, I thought his updated sculpt was pretty good, myself.

I initially did, but now realize that is wishful thinking. The updated sculpt is closer than the original, but much closer to DX05 than it is to Harrison Ford.

You can clearly tell? With a fuzzy photo? Sorry, but I can't clearly tell anything. And again..marvel signed off. So even if it is the mk7 helmet that could just be a time/cost savings issue instead of futzing around with a new render they just used some unused mk7 old stuff beucase no one could tell anyway..so no matter what you can or can't see, the fact marvel is now singing off on this with pepper means they told hot toys they belong together. I highly don't hot toys was like hmm..let me use iron wiki, the English version, instead of asking marvel.

It was my WIFE"S idea. When she saw the completed kitchenette area she said "Now all you need is a Pepper figure so she can wash the dishes"

IF there was a "Disapprove" option I would wear it out on because there are too many whiners in this hobby.

Ok, only one of those companies can be called lazy for reusing assets*, and it isn't the one whose entire job it is to reproduce exactly what the other company does.

*And even calling them lazy is a stretch considering they had to make forty suits, may of which have less than a second or two of screen time, and it's entirely plausible that during Tony Stark's design process, he would mix and match parts for different functions. He reused design on the IV to VI as we already saw.
