Same with the new Batman and the MK 2, people decide to sell them off sooner than later and often they'll lower the price than the market price in order the shift it before the new one comes out.

Actually, more like supply curve to the right when the reissue is out. Either way, value will drop.

Actually the demand curve shifts the the left due to change in consumers' taste for the first Mark I while the supply shifts to the right due to people selling it off, causing a much lower equilibrium price overall.

Ya, they said an easy way to spot if it's fake or not is to look at the oil tank on his back. The fake one is pretty much all black at the top, where as on the real one there's just enough black to replicate that oil stain effect.


On the real one here, you can see there's stain mark textured on the oil tank

On the fake one, the oil tank stain marks is pretty much just a solid black color:
