JND will do it surely. After both IA & HT gave us the exact same diorama and chair, it’s almost guaranteed at this point. Dioramas aren’t their thing and the other outfits Phoenix wore won’t get people to bite at their prices, they’ve got no other realistic option than a deluxe red suit Phoenix.
Their two pack (assuming they will offer it) will definitely be top notch. I’m very interested in JND’s take on this.
Hopefully it’s their next figure after the HP characters.

I don't think anybody cares about what JND does at this point. Their sixth scale figures looks really weird compared to Hot Toys or Inart (Their Bruce Wayne, Joker, Harry Potter etc.) and they are not that easy to access in many countries. They are really overpriced for what they are, also their material choices including silicone is not that durable.

Feel like them doubling down on these two pack releases without the option of a single figure available will eventually bite them in the ass.

Their quality has raised the bar for others. And they're ignoring a huge chunk of people that can't afford or aren't interested in a two pack or simply won't pay cost of entry.

I'll go for the Artisan but ultimately will be happy with the standard I at least want this version of The Joker next to Battinson.

I truly wanted InArt red suit version but no way I’m tossing as much money on that. While HT version doesn’t look better for now he looks still good enough imo and I’m sure tailoring will be improved. Gonna preorder peasant edition just in case. Love Phoenix, one of my fav actors.

Unfortunately they won’t do that. There will always be people that will not agree with a decision like that.

You can’t put something up for preorder and then completely change it afterwards.

Technically, you can if it improves the overall reception to the product. It has happened before.

I know if anything, it'll probably be WB that won't approve of it but if a survey is done giving the option of removing that particular figure to siginificantly reduce the cost, I can see the majority going for it.

depending on the ease of getting this, I might just opt for this one.

Even if the quality isn’t on par, it’s better price wise than paying so much more for figures and stuff I for sure don’t want. Plus I can always just upgrade it later with the money I would have spent on the inart one lol.

I got to disagree. JND’s Joker looks a lot better than whatever InArt put out. Sure InArt’s prototype looked amazing, but their mass production didn’t even come close to the prototype. JND’s Hermione looks better as well.

However their Bruce Wayne and Harry Potter were an absolute joke.

Ugh, seeing how bad this looks suddenly makes me wish I had ordered the Inart now.

Maybe around release you could find one? I am sure with the news of this some people who wanted a solo joker will cancel their inart order

I get what you are saying, but there will still be people that wouldn’t agree with such a decision.
It would also be extremely unfair to everyone that preordered the two pack.

It wasn’t. Most likely lifted recently at WB.

Revoltech announced last week that they’re doing a v1.5 Arkham Knight figure. The first release only included swords and knives. The rumor seems to be that the gun mandate that they held on their merchandises has been lifted, which is what will be included in the 1.5 Seems to be a change up as of late over there.

Hot Toys seems to be able to freely show off the pistol as well, which INART wasn't able to do besides showing that it's included in the overall layout image.
This is what I was thinking as well. Something has changed at WB.

We've been hearing about the $1k minimum rule for this movie since well before InArt made their figure, which is why every single Phoenix Joker collectible since has been over $1k be it from Prime1, Queen Studios, Iron Studios, Infinity Studios, and JND. Up until InArt, all the collectibles have been 1/3 scale or larger to justify the pricing.

High chance some will disagree but if it's very, very minimal, they can get away with it.

How would that be unfair to those that preordered the 2 pack when that Joker in white coat and wig isn't included in that set?

I hope JND do a 1/3 before they do a 1/6, either way I'd order that as well as having the 4-pack from Inarts, could just sell the Inart red suit.

I can see the improvements HT have made, I'm surprised they haven't made them further. JC Hongs paintwork is always incredible. But the production pieces always fall short. Inarts, going by my Batman is way ahead of Hot Toys. Feels more like an individual artist has made it. But all the JND come out exactly as shown as a prototype.

Wonder if they'll either delay, or if they haven't started, not bother for a while after this announcement.

The whole Hot Toys Artisan line is stupid in my opinion. Who wants to wait in line on Sideshow to hopefully secure a preorder for a figure you really want? It completely takes away the fun from collecting.

And for people not from the states (myself included) it’s very inconvenient to order from Sideshow. You’ll be hit with tax and other fees driving up the cost quite a bit.

I dunno. I see the JND joker and it just looks… overly grimy to me? I can’t tell if it’s overly sharp pictures or something or what.

InArt definitely undercooked with their Joker, but for a one time buy, it’s more than great to me. I just wish they had used a different figure as their flagship launch because I feel like a lot of their QA issues would have been worked on way better after a few major releases under their belt (the wrist pegs, the magnet stands, the blue tac, etc)

At least I know what I’m getting with hot toys, even if it’s lesser than what they should be doing lol. The peace of lowered expectations.

I’m glad to have this as an option. I only want this outfit for the character and it has the essential accessories in my opinion. Also liking how the hands are being handled. If can’t get the rooted I won’t be upset paying less for the sculpted. Probably getting it when it’s available.

How would that be unfair to those that preordered the 2 pack when that Joker in white coat and wig isn't included in that set?
Because the whole reason everyone preordered the four pack is because of the bathroom scene Joker.
If they lower the price and remove that white coat Joker there will be a lot of people that would’ve rather just paid a bit more to have that bathroom Joker as well.

The more I look at it, the more I don't like it. I don't know that I'll get it.

My best course is to try my luck getting a loose Inart figure. I could pay a grand and it would still save me a lot from shipping the two pack.

Definitely not feeling this one -- not the tailoring, not the sculpt. But the price may be easier to swallow for a single Fleck Joker.

Wait-and-see for me. But I'm glad HT is trying.
