If he has a wire then it might get weird like Keaton because the cape is pretty long on this guy

I really love the wire they put in the DC Iconic statue. Since it's all along the endges and the base, it really opens up the possibilities for poses.

I stopped watching Smallville after 5 seasons. I thought it was a great idea for a show but they spent so much time in teen angst and will-they-or-won't-they Lana Lang romance. That is an intriguing plot point. Maybe I shouldn't have given up on the show so soon.

Actually that episode was in Season 3. Off the top of my head, I want to say that the episode name was "Relic".

Basically Jor-El briefly visited earth in the late 50s and had a romance with Lana's great-aunt (of course). After he is wrongfully accused of her murder, John Kent's father helps him escape town. This act of kindness leads Clark to speculate that his parents might have been chosen to raise him. Despite a large part of the episode essentially being Clark/Lana fan fiction; it wasn't bad overall.

I believe there was also an episode in Season 7 with a flashback to when Lara and Kara visited the Kent farm to "check-out" the family before they sent Clark to them. This scene didn't make any sense for many reasons and was par for the course from an era of Smallville where no one cared anymore.

There were a few good moments in the later seasons, but overall you bailed right on time.

I thought it would have been interesting if they made each season a different era in Superman's life
Season 1-16 year old Clark in High School trying to fit in/discover his powers
Season2- College
Season 3- Drifter like in Kung Fu/ Incredible Hulk.
Season 4- Moving to Metropolis/meeting Lois, etc.
Season 5- becoming Superman, villains, resolve plot threads or harken back to previous seasons
Season 6- questions his place and purpose and end with him accepting his destiny.

Who knows? perhaps MOS covers all of these areas and more effectively than I can imagine. It would be interesting to see a show at different facets of Superman's life with each season having a different tone.

From what I understand, you never got full on Superman in the suit in Smallville.

You did and didn't. You saw him in the suit, but never got a full body "hero-shot" that wasn't from 100 ft away.

The last episode was also pretty poorly written.

Tom welling was never actually even IN the suit. The shots of him in space were CGI of the suit onto his body. And they were only from the chest up. And the last shot of him running off the Daily Planet roof unbuttoning his shirt to reveal the Superman shield was just a blue undershirt. There was no texture or muscle forming like the suit.

I really can't wait for them to announce these. Looking forward to seeing Zod!

Yea reading that really made me happy but as always, Howard's words must and should be taken with a grain of salt. I do really hope we get many variations of characters from this line. We already know we're getting ceremonial/casual JorEl and Superman. I hope we get earth Armored Zod and Faora and Kryptonian Armored Jor-El and maybe an armorless Zod with Shackles (similar to the Movie Masters figure) as an SDCC exclusive for next year

Thanks for sharing Hologram AI :hi5:

No problem :peace I'm excited as the next Superman fan for this line.

I agree that his words shouldn't be taken too seriously but it's still great to hear him say that this line is a key factor for them this year.

Interesting....though it is Hot Toys, I'll believe it when the figures go up for pre-order.

The way he referenced it, though, I think we'll see Zod, at least. The way he called it a "key project," it seems like they're going to go all out.

I don't get how this is old news. It's new to me. I about **** my pants when I read the Arkham City part, it seems like it's only a matter of time, now.:panic:

Honestly, if we can get Zod and Faora to go with Superman and Jor-El I will be a very happy collector. I don't neccessarily care which versons they do, though I would suspect they would do Earth versions of them first.

That's what I would assume. I wonder, if they did include Zod's mask, if they'd include multiple masks? I only ask because it seems to change from grey to translucent in the film.

I enjoyed the show until Michael Rosenbaum left. After that it got more hokey than usual. It was still good though. I really enjoyed the first 5 seasons. There were some really good plots for back stories on how Kryptonians visited earth hundreds of years prior. The whole Native American story ark portraying the return of a great warrior Numaan was very interesting. Suggesting that they had been visiting earth and studying the known galaxies for 1000's of years. Fits into the whole Ancient Aliens show/theory.
