Oh man, I guess this figure it out of my hands... I hope some bootleg company pick this one up and make a cheap kit or something, hahaha.

and they're okay with that? I'm surprised they didn't want you to pay within seven days even if it was a pre-order.

i sent him a email saying that i wasnt gonna pay til i have proof he getting them he didnt cancel so i guess he good with it

im not gonna pay him for something he doesnt have hisself

I also sent a message to the seller asking if I could wait to pay for it until it was ready to ship, and he responded..

"you have to pay it right away."

I hope this isnt too expensive on Ebay. $200 is my limit for this figure. Especially when it has no acessories other than the extra hands.

This figure retails for approximately $220US in Japanese yen. Even with the lowest markup from a seller abroad, you will be spending at least $250-275, without factoring shipping.

As much as I wish I could set a limit too for $200, it's just not going to be realistic unless a seller wants to take a loss compared to what he paid for it directly from the Tokyo show.

Is $220 the conversion from the initial announcement ("MSRP")? If so, that number is probably much higher than what those stores will actually charge. That was the case with the SDCC exclusives, and several other HT releases from my understanding.

With only 4 grand in production I wonder if that statement will hold water.
4,000 is a lot more than was produced of the Guardian Pred, supposedly. And Predators is probably as popular with the global collecting community as MJ. I wouldn't be shocked if regular releases like Thriller MJ didn't have a production run over 5,000. But, we don't know because Hot Toys doesn't say.

Yes, check my post on page 11 of this thread. I posted a pic taken off of Hot Toys' Japanese website. The MSRP is 18,000 yen, which as of today is worth $216.87.

The only "store" that would possibly get this is Toy Hunters in Hong Kong. Being distributed by Sideshow IF it comes to the US doesn't count as a store since Sideshow isn't really a brick & mortar store. But god, I hope Sideshow gets a couple of these to distribute!

Like I said before, the MSRP on these is useless, apparently, since previous releases have not gone for the amount initially shown. Sideshow and Toy Hunters exclusives included. That isn't to say that we won't have to pay more.

The item will only sell at a high price if the scalpers know there is a huge demand for them. The more we work ourselves up into a frenzy the more the dollars go up.

No need to speculate since HT won't bother telling fans if this will be available later,be prepared People...Once 1 ebay seller sells it at 1k the rest will too.

That's usually the route things take. One seller sells it at a ridiculous price, so the next seller looks at that price and tries to undercut it by one dollar even if the first seller isn't getting people to buy it at that price. Hot Toys cares so much about us (the fans) that they pretty much hand deliver it to the scalpers.

I will never get over this. :gah:

Why did they think making such a necessary MJ an exclusive was a smart idea??

It was obviously a ******* idea. Considering that 'Beat It' isn't an obscure title that barely anyone knows. It's off the damn Thriller album! Even people who don't like MJ know 'Beat It'...
