LOL Nice one bro.

You have to laugh with the ALIENS figure, as if being innaccurate weren't enough, they release a hideous alternate paint scheme. And I really wouldn't rip into them on the ALIENS figure as much as I do if their Snap Kit version weren't significantly more accurrate. If there were no precendent for them getting it right, fine, but to have done it at 4" scale and then miss so much at 1/6 is just mind boggling, but then again I find all their 1/4 busts inferior to the 1/6 versions of the same portraits, so maybe the smaller the better, I don't know. I'd almost laugh if they did ALIEN snap kits and that xeno was more accurrate than this figure

Now if someone can shop the Leno Jaw to the correct proportion from current gigantic laughing Horse look and bring the Dome to the correct proportion with forehead slope corrected, I'd like to see it.

You can see by the black where I photoshopped and just how much I had to eliminate to get it to look this way. Still, if I could get it to look this way in hand, I'd buy it.

BTW, the crooked bottom lip is not my work.

Looks good. The thing for me that stands out about the ALIEN's mouth is that the teeth and all, it just looks bizarre and unlike anything. The mouth on the figure, like all ADI Aliens, has a very common look to it, there's nothing overly unique about them, especially the teeth, looks like any old fanged animal really.

Going by that actual photo, seems like the whole mouth/teeth area should be wider, almost the width of the dome.

I know, but as the Joker's surgeon once said: "Look what I have to work with here."

Custom paint and tweaks to the dome are about it, maybe sculpt work on the hands but that's not where anything's needed really. Maybe someone with the right skill set wil try stuff with the rubber and all, but not just any customizer can tweak that.

On second thought, no, I want you to do it, get on it, I want to see a new futzed image depicting this within 10 minutes, hustle, hustle, hustle.

On second thought, no, I want you to do it, get on it, I want to see a new futzed image depicting this within 10 minutes, hustle, hustle, hustle.

I notice that it's also missing that very pointy, skeleton-like chin.

Oh well, certainly more work than would be possible on the in-hand figure. I might be able to cut away that upper lip and glue the mouth shut and make the teeth more dramatic.... but the overall shape is still off.

NECA's dome really is a tragedy, so much is right on the figure and that one spot went wrong. Dome too transparent, and half-assed paint of details instead of a sculpted skull. Of course, had it been fogged enough, the paint would be barely seen and you wouldn't need it sculpted.

I'm happy though, I have the Sideshow diorama and NECA 7" figures, I think those are 2 nice representations, especially the diorama's environment, I love the chains.
