Not a fan of this figure- I saw it in person and it just looks messy and generally unimpressive- however it's the only game in town and I may pick it up (I so wish Medicom didn't make theirs tiny). Who has the lowest price in the US?

Digging my way out!
I've had one of these on order for so long, I forgot about it.
I actually want it. It will be one of the last 1/6 figures I will get for a long while, so I guess I am excited about it.
After I get a couple of the NECA ALIENS painted up (note to Reinhardt!), I will touch up my HT chap someday.
I would like to see pics of it with figures and in collections. That would be cool.

, That's the thing, nobody here has it yet... I mean, it's a common thing around here to complaint about inaccuracies without having seen the figure physically, but this time it's too much IMO...

It would have been the same, probably worse, if this had been the Hot Toys Predator with these types of inaccuracies.
If you think Alien fans are fanatics about this...Pred fanboys are a thousand times worse.
But, Hot Toys was smart enough to make their original Pred as accurate as possible.
Not so with the Alien. And we sure don't need any more "in hand" pics to prove it.
Well in all fairness, it's not like there'd be a huge difference.
Anyhoo, I have a right to complain, just like you have a right to complain about my complaining.
I'm Hot Toys' target market.

Even so, there's plenty of inaccuracies on the Pred 1 too, you can read all about it on it's thread...
You're making it sound like Hot Toys is against Alien fans...
and I don't know how that relates to my post anyways.
I know the existing problems with the Alien won't magically disappear with in hand pictures, but some people here are just beating a dead horse IMO...
I think we're past that and more in hand pictures are needed...we're all more than aware of this figure's problems, but it's really tiresome for us who are genuinely interested in this figure...

I'm not against complaining about figures problems... I've done it myself...
but what's the point of doing it over, and over, and over again if the figure has been released?
Why don't you guys write a letter, e-mail or post on Hot Toys Facebook?

But we haven't just seen proto-pics. We have seen in-hand pics from Toyworld. Its not going to look any different when everyone else gets it and starts posting pics nor does having it in hand magically change what the figure looks like.
But by the way I too am stoked about Wolverine. I have no complaints about that figure, I love the outfit, I love the new body and I think the headsculpt, if not perfect, is pretty damn close. I'm not getting Michael Jackson but I also think that figure is superb by the looks of it. The standards to which you hold something depend on the degree to which you like it, how long you've been wanting it etc.
I understand that you guys can't keep track of everyones opinions on every figure but we'd appreciate if you wouldn't label us as no-lifers just because we have issues with one figure that you happen to not care quite so much about as to be bothered by its flaws. Because, like you RE:this Alien figure, I'm no Wolverine or 300 (King Leonidos) obsessive but I think those figures are pretty damn great. That said I'm not in those threads condescending on those people who see problems and telling them I pity them.

I didn't say Hot Toys is "against" Alien fans...but they sure have not sculpted the Alien figures to the same "accuracy" standards that they've done with the Pred figures. Hell, look at the ALIENS figure. Absolutely NOTHING like the movie version.
And if you think it's tiresome...don't read the thread anymore. We're going to complain about the accuracy, that's all there is too it. Especially when you get some asshat coming on here saying that NOBODY should be complaining about it. Like this is the absolute best Alien figure ever created. Hot Toys would have you believe that. But, alot of us die hard Alien fans do not.
With that said, I'm getting it. I think the accuracy sucks, but it's still a cool figure.
Is it Giger's Alien...NOPE! But, it's a cool Alien-ish figure for sure.
And you can quote me all you want Wanderer...for you to take all that time to find it just shows that you really care about me and what I think.
