I'm sure some of the weirdness of his ears is to accommodate wearing the sunglasses.

I think it looks odd because the hair looks flatter on the sides probably to accommodate for the glasses as you said. Without the glasses on it makes the ears stick out. And that's not to say they haven't exaggerated the ears slightly for this reason too.

I noticed that about the ears. Its a shame coz without the black T-Shirt mine won't be wearing shades

Mine will be wearing the shades but I can't decide yet until I have him in hand. Shame theres only one film there are so many poses I could have in (read into that of what you will).

But is the t-shirt colour really such a factor that you'd never have the sunglasses on just because it's not movie accurate?

I definitely prefer tweaks to the hair and ears to let the glasses sit more appropriately on the head, I don't think it looks that off without them to warrant not doing it, and having the Sideshow T-800 where the glasses don't quite sit on the head in a realistic manner, this figure will look better this way.

To be honest. I am one of the few that prefer the PF sculpt over this one, but I think with glasses on, this will look EXACTLY like the movie poster which I am very excited about.

No, count me in there, I think the PF sculpt is possibly better at least for getting the dimensions of the face right. This HT figure's face is too squashed but it is a more detailed face and has a less plastic finish though than the PF from what I've seen. Oh and the PFs hair is too long.

But if I could have a hybrid of all the best aspects of the best T2 T-800 sculpts out there now I'd firstly exclude the PF because its not 1/6th, am I right? So it'd be between NECA and Hot Toys. I'd take the sculpt and hair length of NECA and give it the realistic finish of Hot Toys.

I dont know on some photos he looks great on other moderate, but this one looks great.

What's upwith is neck??He seem to be glossy and wet maybe its juste the lightning..Are some of you going to order him in japan on eabey or something or you gonna wait the segond or the third shippinf for north america it was set for august right????

Yes, the shades are a classic look and since this is likely the only clean portrait we'll get of him, I'd rather it be designed to look nice with or without shades and have the ability to just snag a black t-shirt for him.

Yup, oily issues that may deteriorate the figure, oil that could discharge from the figure and that can be annoying to some collectors. Lets just hopes there are no flaking issues to go along with this figure or any warping in any body parts that may cause people to flood HT facebook page in distress.
