Well it seems like most of the anti-T2 talk is more relative to the T-800 being made the hero instead of being the bulky, mindless killing machine he was in T1.

Was still a very good action movie, no doubt. And I will take this over any other Terminator figure made due to the likeness, but yeah. . .he's not really a Terminator at all. More of a friendly robot helper, sort of like Data, or Number 5 from Short Circuit.

still patiently waiting for a battle-damaged t800.

the steel mill version with half his face gone and one arm ripped off. neca's very respectable effort has only further whetted my appetite for a ht version. besides the exciting potential for the sculpt, i'm also looking forward to what ht can do with the torn & weathered clothing detail. should be great.

With any luck, we'll get one more T-800 from this movie from HT, and between that figure and this current one, we'll be able to make all of these looks, might take buying multiples of each to do it, but I'd love to have all 4.

Don't mention the war.

I hope I'll be satisified with just 2 of each HT figure and whatever looks that number enables me to create. I already bought my multitudes of figures from that company we dare not name for the purpose of creating every possible look and pose from the film. I love those but I'm sure it'll be awfully tempting when I see what everyone else comes up with for their HT figures.

As it stands currently I'll have 'Uncle Bob' and arm reveal scene. However depending on what we get later one of those could become a Cyberdyne version.

Won't make a huge difference, but I'm eager to get this and get the black t-shirt on, I don't know why, but I find something made him seem more passive once he switched, probably planned as it matches up with flipping the switch to learn. Even though he wasn't the same killing T-800 as T1, in the all black getup with shades on, he looked the part.

Which is strange because its not as though he ever wore all-black in the first film.

Why did the spikey hair catch on as 'the iconic' look for the Terminator? He started off in T1 with the longer hair that Arnie has in many of his films. And thats the one I personally am most eager to see HT tackle - tech noir.

I would guess because it looked tougher. While it's hard for someone of Arnie's build to not look tough and threatening, the hair he starts with in T1 looks too "pretty", the spike has a tougher vibe. I was too young when T1 came out to know how Arnie's hair styles fit in with the period, by the time I saw T1 it was early 90s already.

If HT did a DX all they would have to do is have an extra sculpt and a enterchangable arm plus more battle damaged jacket. With all the stuff they gave the DX Joker and Jackson i see this being a possibility.

I think it'd doable, it'd be an extensive figure for sure.

To get a Cyberdyne T-800, we'd need black gloved hands, grenade bandolier, grenade launcher and gatling gun included with the next T-800 to mix with this current MMS117.

I guess to have the 4 looks I listed, you'd need 2 MMS117s and 3 of the next T-800, assuming all the necessary parts were included, and you'd be best off buying 3 and parting out what you don't use than trying to buy all the bits, it'll add up to as much as another figure.

I can't remember when I first saw T1 at all. I can't even remember if I was aware of it before T2.

Damn T2 is old now. All the childhood memories of watching that and re-enacting it with my best friend at the time....and then all the time since that. Unbelievable how all that time passed. We wonder how the cast all look so old now - thats how. And T1 is what 7 years older still?

I know I watched T2 for quite some time before finally seeing T1, I was like 10 when I started watching T2, thankfully back then HBO and those stations weren't too big so movies hit network TV and were edited shortly after home video release.

Yeah, I don't get why posting NECA pictures on this thread is like a battle-cry (seems like a real attention-getter lol). I mean it'd be cool for HT to really get in on that *more extreme* battle-damage... and produce a chaingun! Wonder if SS will make an exclusive version for that. Kinda sucks, since it's such an iconic weapon. We also need the 'nade launcher, too. Those seem way more important than a pistol. T2's all about the chaingun, grenade launcher, and rose box shotgun.

I actually saw T3 first, then T2, then T4, then finally (out of curiousity) saw T1. I honestly didn't like it. Not only that, but way more memorable characters and collectibles seemed to come out of the sequels.
