That's likely why HT's starting with T2. They've stated their not interested in T1.

Was that a typo? HT have stated they're not interested in doing T3 but as far as I know they said no such thing about T1. In fact, unless it was misinformation to begin with, I thought T1 was all but confirmed as on the way.

Is it that common a problem to worry about, I've seen reports of it, but I haven't found clothing to stain any of my muscle body figures.

You might be able to see it in Rambo III's pelvic area. Other than that, not sure what you have where you'd notice it all that much. Another thing to look at would be the rubber plugs on the back of TrueTypes. They soak it up as well. It's mainly the dye used in black clothing though.

Doesn't matter too much to me, once the black shirt's on mine, full biker gear for the rest of its days in my posession so if it stains I'll not know.

Yes, sorry, I was thinking about T1 mainly when I wrote that, I did mean to type T3.

They said an all new T1 line was coming soon. They're not interested in T3.

Which is a shame. AVP-R wasn't all that and they still made figures for it. They should do the same for T-3. A T-850 and TX would be awesome.

Yeah, but the vibe I get is fans liked the designs from the AVP movies even though not so much the movies, but I get the feeling from T3 talk that there's nothing a large number of folks cared for in it. I think a BD T-850 could sell if nothing else, with all the Endo parts exposed it'd be a very interesting looking figure and the most ambitious Terminator HT could make, far more damaged than anything from T1, T2 or TS.

Do you have intention of having this figure shirtless at any point in display? If not, then if it stains it stains, the stain shouldn't bleed onto exposed parts, just the areas covered by the shirt, so you shouldn't even see it.

Something like this happened to my Medicom Snake figures (from Metal Gear Solid), as well. Over time, the black inner lining of the rubber suits started to bleed onto the plastic bodies of the figures, and now they look tattooed :lol. It's definitely not a problem though, as I don't ever intened to pose my figures naked.

You know, all this talk about rubber bodies... and it doesn't look to me like this figure's body is rubber... looks like plastic... I mean look:

see the elbows? They're the most exposed articulation points on the torso while he's wearing a shirt, and you can definitely see the plastic joint, with a peg through the elbow. So why would it be rubber underneath the shirt if it is obviously not rubber for the exposed elbows? That wouldn't make sense... if anything is rubber it should be the exposed elbows, and the rest of the torso could be plastic.

But if the elbows aren't covered by rubber, and the arms are so obviously hard plastic, why wouldn't the rest be plastic too?

I don't think rubber bodies are a worry with this one...

It's not a fully rubber body, but like Wolverine, it will have a rubber sheat over the upper torso and neck while the arms are made of a PVC type material.

I wonder if spraying the clothing on the inside with 3M scotchguard will do the trick of preventing the paint rub off? It acts as a layer to protect carpet from absorbing any fluids so it should have the same effect the other way around as well?

I would really strongly recommend never, ever, ever, ever allowing a figure made by HT to come into contact with some random chemical, unless you're a Customising God who doesn't care about possibly damaging/ melting your figure.

Being what it is and has been around for decades I would assume this being inert to react with anything. But then you are right to avoid any uneccassary risk.

AvP:R was a case of it being a 'current' and 'new' film at the time. No one knew what it was going to be like. If, like T3, it had come out before Hot Toys got really big I'd have doubts HT would want to go back and do figures from it...just like they aren't bothered with T3. If HT had been around for T3's pre-release hype period we'd have had T3 figures.

I actually enjoyed T3. The villain was like a combination of T-800 and T-1000. Inner-skeleton of metal, but with liquid metal tissue.
MaulFan's got it right when he says it'd make a pretty ambitious fig, battle-damaged.

Why are you still going on about this? :dunno The torso joint was there on Wolverine as well. While I wish it'd be all plastic (rubber sucks juevos), the chest will be rubber but the arms will be plastic. If I remember correctly, we've already seen the stats. Case closed. Look them up in the 270-some-odd pages here.
