With all these different licenses that Hot Toys currently has, I wonder if they've bit a lil' more than they can chew?

One of the license HT announced back in December, 2009 still hasn't had a decent preview (I'm referring to the 1978 Supes).

I'm not shocked its getting pushed back. I remember saying when it came out that them showing it would ship in Feb was kind of crazy.

i'd rather wait ... for sure they are making it more accurate that's why it's pushed back...

It strikes me as odd that people are making comments about the bike being too small and that is a deal breaker when almost all of the figures are out of scale to a point. We already know they arent using a new body for Thor so he will be the same height as Wolverine and Spider-man and nobody seems to care about that.

This annoys me more than a bike being a bit small, Hemsworth is a good bit taller than everyone else in this picture

They are perfectly detailed Nick I understand what you are saying just would really love to see them get the height right. Maybe if they would just create a couple more bodies..

I don't care about the height. I mean at the end of the day what does it matter if they are a centimetre off of the real height. It's not exactly like displaying a 6" with one of them and pretending they are the same.

I wish they would make an accurate body for each figure, I just don't really want to pay for it lol

Thats the problem. Collectors want something new but never paying for that. Sadly that falls under our cake and eat it to. Though, I do understand what you're saying.

Thats how I look at it my friend. I'd rather them be how they are and stay at the current price levels. I'm broke enough as it is. :lol

To me comparing the scale of one figure to the next is not a big deal. The concern with this is that the figure and bike are one, so the scales should be equal. I will say that if they ever made a Rorschach that standing next to the Comedian he should be shorter. But honestly, I was probably never going to get this anyway as cool as it is. Have to draw a line some where right?

I just think they are already premium prices incase you have forgotten you expect compromises like this with say a twenty or so dollar figure...These are getting close to $200 and accuracy is the companies statement. Just saying. Sorry I love these but it just reminds me too much of say Mego figures or something. I wont let it stop me from buying the ones I like but if something could be improved I think everyone could agree that it would be nice.

Designing a new body for every single character to capture 100% true height would cost more than 20 bucks a fig. Think about design and production expenses

Sometimes there are cases in which a particular figure is taller than other figures though it shares the same body. The T1 T800 is taller than the T2 figure because HT simply used different ankle pegs. A variety of factors can affect a figures final height even though it uses a body that's been used many times before.

Hopefully Thor will be taller than Wolverine.

A lot of times I don't even notice if something is too small until someone points it out. I watched the movie when it came on today and it was bigger than HT version BUT I watch American chopper and Ive seen bikes with the same proportions as hot toys on there so it doesn't bother me one bit.

Haha Evilface that is funny and probably the truth. Rip on figures you cant afford and you wont feel so bad.

Brooklyn, how would you do that? I guess if I decided I wouldnt ever sell them to upgrade to newer figures I might consider it. Yes he is tall thats what I mean would be pretty cool if they made him a bit taller esp. since he is Thor!
