but... Marvel>Tron

Ironic since the same company owns both...

Best of both worlds?

Yea, the Tron bike doesn;t compare. You can't even remove the figure. Might as well just be a statue.

That screams of Batpod anger. People who bought the Batpod _____ed and moaned that it had no figure and that the traditional figure didn't fit just right on the bike. The Lightcycle would have been a _____ to get the figure on. I guarantee you that we'll see a Sam Flynn standard figure and then people buying the Lightcycle and Sam will be no different than those who went Batpod/Batman except they have the figure to fit the bike perfectly in addition.

Ghost Rider has the bike and figure included because HT knows that not many people would buy the figure without the bike and the even less would pony up the price for just the bike, it's just good business sense.

I didn't bother with the Batpod. And I'm sure HT could have made a regular figure if they wanted, but they took the easy route out and made a statue.

For as cool as the Tron statue looks its not any place in the same zip code as cool as GR and his bike. Thats just going off how awesome it looked in person at Comic-Con last year and they seem to have made it better.

It looks to me like it does, the wheels arent touching the flames, Im sure this was a SOB to create.

Cancelled my pre-order for Ghostrider, although I love the character, the bike doesn't look like its worth its price tag. It looks a little bit smaller compared to what it should be, and it doesnt take my breathe away like the Tron cycle does

Maybe so, but Tron's cycle >Ghost Rider bike...

Cool art... hadn't seen that one...
And I agree with your post... the Sam figure is much more complex just due to the electronics,
I would've loved for it to be removable, but the Light Cycle with no rider looks kind of lame...

I still wish I could afford both this and Sam, but I'll stick to the latter...

No it isn't. As Josh says below, GH bike lights up and has some pretty intricate sculpt detailing. Look earlier in the thread for pics of the artist sculpting it.

Ghost Rider and the bike both light up too. So they have electronics involved.

Right on.

Has the release date on this officially (officially-officially) been moved back or what? I've been flip flopping like John Kerry over whether or not I should get this.... When it was a 4th qtr 2010 release it was going to be hard to swing but if we're talking 2nd qtr 2011 I might be more than willing.
