Never heard of him but this is what is on HT Facebook page

"Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing, one of the most influential film actors and singers from Hong Kong, has left us for 10 years already. His charisma on stage is still deeply in our heart. This year marks the 10th anniversary since he has passed away. In memory of and paying tribute to Leslie Cheung, Hot Toys is proud to be the first company to exclusively present the 1/6th scale Leslie Cheung (Miss You Much Leslie Version) Collectible Figure"

I guess they are only making 3000 of him :dunno

^ I don't get the "I don't even know this guy" hate. :dunno HT's fanbase in Hong Kong, as Cheung's, is obviously large enough to necessitate that figure. When it comes to the fact that HT should be releasing stuff they've already been promising for months instead of this figure, yeah, I understand that. But everything else a little silly to me.

Hmm? Did someone really want a figure of him? Again, never heard of anyone asking for one? Maybe over in China? :dunno

He is a very famous singer in HK. A lot of his fans want his figure, from China, HK, Malaysia, Singapore, .... everywhere that has Chinese.

I know what you mean. It is somewhat typical western behaviour that I too have accidentally fallen into occasionally..."We westerners don't know who he is, so he is a nobody" almost.

It is rather arrogant to ignore or belittle a population that makes up one seventh of the world's population...and also, that makes our 'pretty things' for us.
