he is 280 on SSC but the DieCast Iron Patriot is only 30 dollars more, WTF?
We're not getting this figure in May 2013, or even in August. We will be lucky to see it by August 2014, and that is the stone cold truth.

I just wanted this to go with the Mark42, more of a completionist thing that anything else
I'll guess we'll just wait and see in the coming months what else HT releases, although I'm not going to get my hopes up

Unless I'm misunderstanding you (which I apologize if I am), the back drop wasn't a surprise with the DX11. we knew it was coming with an interrogation scene backdrop. It was always in the specs and there was a place card on the Toy Hunters display with a picture of the back drop. What was a surprise is that it wasn't double-sided like they said it would be

I did see something when the 1st pictures came out about it being a May release and there were some jokes about it being out before the Avengers Mark VII.

in my opinion i think this figure will sell out after IM3 launches
I looked up the info about this on Toy Haven and the original specs on there have it as a Q2 2013 release.
I think it was a miscommunication. HT most likely meant the date as the release of the movie not the release of the figure.

It was always stated to come out in August as fat as I'm concerned. Seeing as they're focusing on the IM3 line the most (what's new) I feel like this will hit the initial release date deadline.

Just earlier this week it was still on SS website for May but saw an FB notification from AP Collectibles saying it was delayed to August. I know we all pretty much expect delays but I didn't even see any updates on the usual HTC pages, so I was surprised to get the notification about the delay.Wasn't this always suppose to come out in August? Huh. It wasn't stated for release in May ever as far as I remember. I remember because I have it logged into my payment layout for being due in August and I have it flexed for 4 months. A option not possible if it was due in May and I ordered last week.
The Hall of Armor comes out in May and I remember telling myself that this won't be too costly as it's coming out in August.

I know it said May on the product page b/c on Monday I was looking for something worth it to use the $25 coupon code on and was close to release; so I figured since this said May I'd go ahead and order. The gf was the one who actually told me about it b/c she was trying to help me decide
