Those prices you guys are getting for the full set are looking good. Under $600 for 3 full figures and a diorama is surprising.
You can say that again. NECA 18-inch figures suffer the most from our corrupt Customs Department, each costing about $150 here compared to $80 in the US.
Our prices though are still better compared to my friends who live in California who pay a lot on top of the SSC SRP.

SSC always inflates the prices, except for that weird incident with ED-209.
Just visited secret base and saw this set. The material of the Wayne suit is a bit 'rough' and isnt as well tailored as Kato's.
Oooohhhh...how I wish I was in the same situation as you. I can still remember being a newbie to Hot Toys only a year ago, and was so glad I missed out on the DX01 Joker and bought the DX11 Joker 2.0, only to find out there may be a Joker 3.0. I was also glad to have missed out on the DX02 Batman and got the DX12, only for this armoury set to be announced. At least I held off buying the Toys Legend Armoury, just in time. This is great news for me being a huge Batman fan.
Being new to 1/6 scale, I missed out on all the Nolan Batman figures. Now I can get a Batman, Bruce Wayne and an Alfred...A ALFRED!
I'm going to PO the three-pack for sure. I'm hoping it'll be priced around $600 anymore and I'll be struggling to pay.
Well, that goes without saying . Too bad to hear it's a lil' rough looking. It looks great in those recent pics. I hope we can get something very close to that
I dug around a little and checked the Blu Ray again and you're right; the suit is definitely charcoal with blue pinstripes. Looks like no one got that right yet but I think HT is way closer to the mark than Kato was... in color that is
Great to hear about Alfred! I'm more pumped about him than anything else in the set!
^^^^ i think our friend above is a bit confused. So let me ask him if he would buy the same set "without complains" for 3500 usd. All people are saying is there are ways to reduce cost and if the reason for high cost is the near monopoly of sideshow being the official distributor hot toys can explore options.
Also - let's not get all corporate on things, people have the right to complain on cost or product just like they have the right to appreciate. We all must respect both complains and appreciations alike as thats what forums are for. Else we just need a "like" button like Facebook...just my views.
That's what I initially thought. But it looks like the batsuit can be used as a stand alone figure, which is as good as the DX12.Why do people keep saying they're going to sell their DX12? I understand it's to soften the blow, but the suit that comes with the set is supposed to be displayed in the armory. Without another DX12 you wouldn't be able to display bats by himself.
That DOESN'T make sense at all. If Bruce was wearing his bat suit, why would there be another suit inside the armoury? He's saying that people would want to put a figure inside the armory and that you would need an extra body if you want to use the new cowl and have a Batman standalone figure, so it would be opportune to keep the DX12 for that body. That's probably what I will do to avoid having to buy the body separately or get an additional armory just to sell.
It's up to how you want to display your figures. You can either have:That's what I initially thought. But it looks like the batsuit can be used as a stand alone figure, which is as good as the DX12.
Please can someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I am also thinking of selling my DX12 before the price plummets.
I'm not confused at all.
You're right, people have the right to complain about whatever it is they wish. I also have the right to say that such complaining about luxury items is ridiculous.
If you do not wish to pay the money that hot toys and sideshow charge then you also have the right to not purchase hot toys items.
I would not buy the same set for $3500; I also would not complain about that pricing. If that were truly the market value; I simply would not buy it.
I really don't care if the mark up is 100 or even 200% for hot toys; if that is what the market supports, then so be it.
You say we should not get "all corporate" about things; the problem with that statement is that both hot toys and sideshow are corporations. They are for-profit organizations that sell high-end luxury items to people with the expendable income to buy them; they are not charities.
The fact is that most people in the world cannot afford a $250 action figure. In many parts of the world $250 is close to a whole year's income.
So I reiterate; complaining about the price of luxury items is silly.
It seems to me that $650 for three complete figures and a very large dio piece is somewhat of a bargain in the luxury action figure market.
