I was so excited for this figure!
I was going to PO it and then the Pepper Potts figure they said is in the works.
Then the price got listed.
I HATE DIECAST!
This should have been a regular MMS figure and thats it!
I guess I'm just waiting for Pepper...unless they put her in an Iron suit and make it Diecast too!

Definitely sucks... I can imagine it being $275-$290 or so MAX had it not been die-cast. That extra $100 is hefty...

I think it would have been a lot more than that. This is more like Igor, its a more complex one use design that they can't repaint 3 times (looking at you MKVII) and sell again and again. Also there is nothing on here that they can recycle from armors they have already made, like hands, feet, etc. If it was plastic i would think it would have been $350-$375.

I agree with Invictus.
I do believe that the hate for diecast is misplaced. Sure it adds weight but thats it. I dnt hear any more cons.

Im really not torn by the price, could've easily been $400 but jeez. The price now, if someone really wanted it, its perfectly possible to grab one with budgeting

With how expensive all these 12" figures are, if you can't afford $400 and like the piece from now until April. 2015 then maybe you should start collecting sneakers LOL. Just kidding those things are expensive as ****.

Hi Timo! How are you since all this time? :wave
Terminator and Robocop won then? ... This is the problem: when to limit ... Hard to hear our reason ...

... Another little froggy? :welcome1:

... And my favorite little Microcebus! Hehe ... Have you noticed that my signature had not changed at least? I honor it, huh. :lol
+1 (than 100% with your words!) :hi5:

BALOOOO i've missed you, buddy :lol

You honor me by using that sig :yess:

Youre getting Whiplash? Glad im not the only one :lol

Figure looks awesome, I'm just unsure if I will pre order it or not. If I decide on pre ordering Whiplash, its not going to be through my local shop considering they want $520 for it.

Hehe... Let say that one has missed each other reciprocally then! :duff

:lecture ... Maybe I'm a big bear, but a big bear faithful.
The honor is for me! :wink1:
Indeed you are not alone ... I even think we will be a few! :hi5:

Wow ... Would not he be a little too greedy, your local dealer? ... Because even with taxes & shipping charge, in grouped items and the purchase price which he must have ... :dunno

It's not like it's a small dealer either, I only tend to pre order items through them when they have sale on which fairly much brings the price to a similar price level to international online stores. To be honest they really are not that bad compared to some of the prices I have seen other places charge for Hot Toys in Australia.

By the time this one comes out in 2015, the norm for every HT plastic IM figure will be $350 and upward, and everyone will be amazed by how "cheap" this one is. That seems to be how things roll. I am gonna order this coz I just wanna complete my IM collection. But I am a little tending towards throwing in the towel soon, especially Howard in a recent JP interview said he might actually do all 42 armors.....

Some old SDCC pics over at flickr :D

Re: Hot Toys - MMS 237D06 - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Whiplash Mark II Collectible ...

Would have much preferred an unhelmeted portrait - seems like it should've been a no brainer, particularly at the price.

Get the torches and pitchforks out . . .

Dunno if this was posted yet but the preorder is SOLD OUT at BBTS. Guess thebno deposit policy sealed it... Damn I was late...
