Well im not surprised its $400 but wish it was $350 lol. Oh well still an amazing figure I'm probably gonna have to own.

I really hope they update this figure before it gets released and change it to helmetless headsculpt of Vanko. The helmeted version just looks a little off.

Since I would display this figure with the helmet on, I don't mind the slightly odd version of the head sculpt.. my only concern is the look and durability of the (illuminated) electricity effect surrounding the whips.. tbh, I would have been quite happy without that and the whips looking as though they were in 'standby mode' as shown on the prototype.. imho, the figure is menacing enough to pull that look off, successfully.

On the fence with this guy! My HT IM collection is pretty much limited to unique characters.

For IM2, I got whiplash and the Mark V
For IM 3, Tony Stark Mechanic, The Mandarin & Igor

I haven't gone crazy trying to be a completist with this set, but I do like having the Villains!

TBD I guess.

If enough of us send emails to Hot Toys, they might actually do it. Making one extra head sculpt wouldn't be that big of a deal to them, if it encourages many more buyers who are now sitting on the fence. (or who HT thinks are on the fence - HINT)
Go to the official HT website and tell them! I'll be doing that myself. If they don't make the helmet-free version, I WILL. (with a big, evil, metal-toothed grin, I might add)

Well I suppose my first instinct on how to pose this figure is with the Mark VI and War Machine, like at the end of the movie when the whips are around both of their necks right when they do the double repulsor blast. At that point, Vanko had his helmet off (I believe, not 100% sure as its been a while since I watched IM2) so that is how I would pose him. I dont think the lack of a helmetless head in favor of the current helmeted head is a huge deal breaker for me, but I would much prefer as close to movie accuracy as possible...especially for $400.

Pre-ordered! Such a bad *** piece, I wasnt to thrilled about the price, however this gives me enough time to save up.
I have been lucky with sideshow shipping to Canada (*knock on wood*), I have only had to pay for shipping and 5% tax, which we normally pay in Alberta.

2015? ****ing hell they are soooo slow getting these things out!!!
I've only been in the hobby 2 years, but every single pre-order I've been interested in, in that time, has been a minimum of 11 - 14 months. After a half-year+ of teasing, I'm just happy we finally have a pre-order. Lol, seems like no-one can look at the glass as half-full when it comes to these figures.

That's one of the best looking figures I've ever seen. Must have.
I kept comparing it to the Starcraft Raynor and it has so much more finesse and skill involved. Plus it's a lot more distinctive and $100 dollars cheaper.

Looks great. Price not so much.

Wait is too damn long to get excited about. When this comes out we will all be excited about avengers 2 and how much we want an ultron figure.

I was so excited for this figure!
I was going to PO it and then the Pepper Potts figure they said is in the works.
Then the price got listed.
I HATE DIECAST!
This should have been a regular MMS figure and thats it!
I guess I'm just waiting for Pepper...unless they put her in an Iron suit and make it Diecast too!

They are making a pepper? Where did you see that?
