True. Other than the original BRJ, none of the TDK 1/6 figures have been mind - blowingly awesome for their time. I do like both the DX02 and DX12 in the HK with Wayne head getup though. Probably my favorite look for both of those figures.

The DX01 was a big deal when it was announced and when it came out too. However, the BRJ was the first 1/6 figure that was on "another level of realism" for a toy/collectible, until the DX01....and that was the ultimate figure, at the time. To this day, the DX01 PERS demostraation video on youtube is their second most watched video, behind Iron Man :lol

Hot Toys - MMS 249 - The Joker (Bank Robber Version 2.0) - 1/6 - TF Exclusive...

This release makes me wonder if I should go along with the idea of making a TDK villain display. I have a few display ideas: I'm gonna recreate the interrogation scene with my DX02 and a DX11 when I get one, have my DX12 with Bane and Catwoman at each side, and make an armory scene when I get it. A display with Two-Face, BR Joker, and Scarecrow would be cool. I just started collecting iminimee figures too so now I gotta figure out what I want to put my money towards lol. Too many decisions.

Relax fella, you will be able to obtain this figure for a fair price. Be patient it isn't going anywhere.

Well not everyone agrees. DX01, DX11, Bane, and Catwoman were all great IMO. If you didn't like them, oh well, what can you do. I never overly "loved" BR Joker v1 like others seem to now that theres a 2.0 coming out, i much preferred DX01. And DX11 i thought was amazing. I thought BR Joker v1 was great when it came out, but i still get blown away by releases that have followed.

Wow prices are all over the place, looks like I was wrong about the exclusive version automatically being more $.:monkey4

The DX01 was a big deal when it was announced and when it came out too. Also, the first T2 T-800 was critically acclaimed because of the sculpt, the paint and the excellent tailoring. However, the BRJ was the first 1/6 figure that was on "another level of realism" for a toy/collectible, until the DX01....and that was the ultimate figure, at the time :lol

Honestly, at the time I thought the DX01 sculpt was a step back from the BRJ. I was new to all of this back then, I never thought I would be purchasing $150+ action figures on a consistent basis..so I didn't get it. I was satisfied with what I had. I can appreciate it a lot more now though. I still own that MMS T2-T800 figure (forgot #), never really felt the need to upgrade it. Same with Barney Ross, DX02, (although did buy DX12)..still great figures imo. The only figure I regret passing on was Godfather..could of had it for $130 from BBTS.:monkey4

Again..wasn't sure I wanted to commit to the hobby at the time. Going from $6 action figures to that amount seemed nuts.:lol

I know!! I didn't get the Godfather because I was focused on the TDK stuff and I wasn't into collecting other characters, but then I started buying other film characters and in retrospect, I regret not getting it. The same happened with the HT M65 jacket Rambo, it was like $75 at the time and I was like, $75 for a figure? No way!!! That's outrageous!! :lol

Ok 1 more then i should probably get back to work.:impatient:

I forgot about Bane, yes he is a fantastic figure. "Mind blowingly" awesome infact. (except for the arms). Dx11 was very very good, but I feel the sculpt could have been even better. You have seen some of the customs floating around right. I own both of these figures, obviously I like them. I was highly disappointed in the Catwoman figure, I think the final product was crap compared to proto. Sorry.

Still for the time (2008) BRJ, well it just blew me away. Got me into the hobby in fact. I can see it's flaws now, I even like the Dx11 sculpt more, but it didn't blow me away like that figure did back in the day. Sure, you get use to these things, take them for granted a bit.

Already commented on DX01, DX02, DX12...

Batman Begins is cool, could be better though.
Scarecrow is cool, could be better..
Two Face could be better..
This new BRJ, could be better.

Seriously, RaBu. If you want one you will get one. You need to settle down and be patient. I can tell you're a high strung person with all the PMs you sent me yesterday about the display stand that you broke. Relax.

Oh man, you too? I've got so many PMs. :lol

cool:) yes Bane is pretty mind blowing amazing. I use the jacket so i don't worry too much about his arms. For the DX11, I've seen the custom stuff, and while I appreciate them, just doesn't interest me. some have been great, don't get me wrong, just not my thing. :) Yah, well I really like Catwoman especially with the goggles on. Thought she was a really great figure and captured her character really well. They sometimes struggle with female figures, i thought this was one of their better figures.

i got into 1/6 with Takara Batman Begins back in 2006, so I've seen how the TDK line has grown with HTs, Medicom, EB, etc....Yah BR Joker v1 was awesome then, and still is, but i really love the DX11. That and Bane are my favorite 1/6 TDK figures, with QS001 being my overall favorite of any TDK figures.

Maybe the thrill of the figures has worn off for you, and thats fine. Seems like it has for a lot of older collectors. But it hasn't for me at all. I look forward to stuff. even weeding through all the negativity on here and stuff, i try not to let it get to me (although difficult sometimes:lol) and continue to enjoy the figures, movies, and characters. Some people can't, and they burn themselves out. Taking breaks from Freak is probably a good thing to do to keep yourself enjoying things. :)

now, get back to work!!!!
later:wave
