Is that the price a local retailer at your side already listed it for? If so, it's probably because (from what I experienced) the toy fair exclusives are sometimes harder to get at the local retailers since they sadly don't always seem to get as many as they/ their customers want. At least that's what I was told by two of them.

So I think this one might try to make some better money from the few he will try to get, which is understandable imo. But you can also wait and see what Sideshow will put it up for, you can also order from them if you're from the EU.

It's on my usual retailer's website. All of the SDCC exclusives are listed for 289,99 EUR.

Here's the website:

Man, there is so much behind the scenes footage and for some reason WB doesn't want to show it. Behind the scenes interviews, makeup testing, costume testing, so much they don't want to show us. They documented everything, and there's even a video of Ledger wearing the costume for the first time in a dark room with a table full of knives, and again, they don't want to show it...I don't get it?

They're terrified of looking like they are cashing in on his death. So logically, pretending he didn't exist is the way to go :lol

That could make sense and sounds fair. Though I think that many Dark Knight fans would love to see it and would watch it with great respect for his work and the work of all artist behind the Joker role.

:lol But what's funny, is that they are cashing in on his character. There's tons of new merchandise every year with his face on it, and that's not a problem, yet showing an artist working on his craft on the set of one of the most famous films ever, that's taboo :lol

That's also true, so maybe we will get to see something more behind the scenes with future releases. If not it's not such a big deal imo as well, as we all can see how great he got into the role simply by watching the movie.

Did you all ever see this interview compilation back then:

Sad to see these he was such a talent and played the role so well. Would have loved to see what Nolan could have came up with had Heath not died. That third batman movie would have included him for sure, way too much appeal. Instead we ended up with a rush job TDKR to close it out with Nolan/Bale heading for the exits.

I don't think TDKR was rushed, I mean it came four years after TDK, and I'm probably in the minority, but TDKR is my favorite of the trilogy, even though it's probably not as good as the first two films. I still Nolan should've put the Joker in the last film. He was the only major character who didn't make a comeback in the third film. I thought Joseph Gordon Levitt was going to play the Joke at first, because he looks just like Ledger, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

I don't know if it was rushed, but to my eyes it definitely felt uninspired, like the fulfillment of a contractual obligation by a great creator whose heart wasn't in it anymore. I think he tried to make the best movie he could considering that, but. . .it wasn't nearly as fresh or interesting as the previous ones.

I was saying rush job in terms of them packing it in. After ledgers death it seemed to me and the obvious direction they took the script of TDKR that there's no way to top what they did in TDK and without Heath that magic just was not going to happen.

Of all the movies Nolan has done, TDKR was the most formulaic and incoherent of his films in my opinion. From the " big bomb going to kill everybody" to the completely laughable way Bane was *****ed out after being a badass for most of the film.

To me they went in saying ok we are either killing batman or setting him free, now let's work backwards and fill the gaps. The simple way out was to connect the dots with the first film with the league of shadows to tie it together. While I applaud the attempt to close out the trilogy with a neat little bow, The execution of the story unfortunately was weak for me.

Well said, that's what I was actually meaning.

that is to much mate

Sadly yes... If other retailers in my area don't sell it cheaper which I think they won't, I'll just stick with my Joker DX 11. I'm happily to spend my Comic Con money on the Lego Tumbler and get a Nolan Joker in Lego Minifigure form.

I just think a lot of people had "problems" with the film that weren't really problems and like always a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon . I'm not saying it's perfect, but a lot of the complaints weren't justified, imo. I still remember people complaining that it took Batman half an hour to show up in the film, yet it took him an hour to show up in full costume in Batman Begins :lol Batman would never retire in the comics, even though he did and he also did in batman beyond, but again that was a "problem." :lol

You've just pointed out the good and the bad from both movies. At its core, the story in begins was so good it didn't need batman in a suit and cape. It was the premise Nolan was going for in his real world that with cunning and drive anyone can be Batman.

Your want for the suit in TDKR was probably more so due to the slow plot and fumbling around of Bruce Wayne with a cane for 30 minutes. Boring story. :lol

Funny thing is, I thought it was more entertaining than TDK. If you take out the Ledger scenes from the TDK, the film is actually pretty boring, imo :lol Plus I was cool with the first 30 minutes of TDKR because of Bane :lol

I'm just glad the Joker wasn't tainted by being in the last movie. By not making a mention of the Joker and treating the character as if he doesn't exist, it actually separates the first two away from the last one. A lame reference or recast would have been tacky and it makes The Dark Knight (and Ledger's performance) a stand out piece.

I couldn't see Ledger Joker existing in a world with a mumbling bald guy with a sci-fi mask, a fusion bomb, or an underground sewer army anyway. The Ledger Joker characterization was too good for such a preposterous plot.

But what about the Scarecrow mask and Two Face's....face? :lol There's nothing believable about that either, imo. Even the plot in BB is the villain using a machine to evaporate all the water in the city so that people kill each other. Batman stillhas to stop Ras and his Army by himself somehow :lol

It's a "potato" sack with a mechanism that protects him from his fictional toxic gas, and you said it, it's potato sack. There were people laughing in the theater when he came out of the van in TDK. I guess they didn't see BB, so they thought he looked silly wearing a sack in a mob meting, which it kind of does, but that's the character in the comics :lol
