Here he is from a few angles and a few different lighting characters. I just don't get the gripe on this sculpt. Few 1/6 head sculpts are perfect, but I'm hearing people say they'd "never get him" because the sculpt is so far off. I said I'd given up arguing likeness, and I have, but I'll still give my opinion that this is a terrific Han...

Likeness recognition is a very weird thing. Having not seen this in-hand yet (be a week or two) I can only go by photos, and so far I'm inclined to agree with you, QGF. :dunno

I love the HT Han Solo. I received mine the other day and was very pleased with the sculpt. I'm probably going to wait for another version of Chewie to go with him.

Great pics, QGF!

And yeah, there's very few 1/6 sculpts I've seen that I can say are SPOT ON. I still maintain the conviction that it's extremely difficult to flawlessly nail down someone's exact likeness in 1/6 scale. Many times, it's certain angles that bring out the likeness in a sculpt better than others. Of all the pictures I've seen of this figure, the sculpt looks fine to me.

While not spot on, even if this sculpt wasn't on a Han Solo-dressed body, I'd still be able to tell that the sculpt is indeed a younger Harrison Ford without having to think twice about it.

Thanks SS! P.S. I'm going to have a few more words to say about you soon.

Thanks Matrix. I take special pride in getting that compliment from you...

Fantastic!

If you can't see Ford here, well then I doubt that you'd recognize him if he walked into a room with you...in 1976/77.

I still like this figure best with a bit of shadow on the eyes, but still very pleased with him. Him and Chewie, such a good combo.

This is one of my favourite figures by far! I instantly see ford in the sculpt. The only issue with him is his legs, when posed they just seem abit off. I cant explain it. Maybe more cotton wool in the boots and futzing is required on my more static poses.

I think the sculpt is great on this figure. It's one of the rare times where the in-hand figure looks better than the prototype pictures.

This angle in particular really works. I think the sculpt is actully very good, again it's the basic paint job that holds it back from being great. Just take a look at JazzInc's repaint and you can see how good the sculpt is. I think Ford just has a very expressive face (or had before he got old and started look mildly annoyed all the time) that's hard to capture in one expression at all angles.

Yeah, I actually think the lower legs are just too long, not by much but I've tried to reproduce poses of some full shots of him and the legs don't quite match because of length.
