The "then" photo has always been the best shot of the prototype, to me. Paired up with just any shot of the production piece.

I'm seeing the most "Chewbacca" in the latest production shots from Budget Stark's video, call me crazy.

I think part of the problem with the myriad of photos of Hot Toys' facebook page is that everyone fluffed the hell out of Chewbacca's fur. Chewbacca's fur is slicked back and pretty flat in Star Wars, not fluffed, not flowing. He doesn't get the bangs falling, early 90's look until Empire and Jedi. Keep it flat, keep it matted, don't brush the hell out of it and it might look pretty good. Less is more.

At least that's what I'm thinking so far.

I'm still reserving judgment til Friday, some pics he looks real bad and then others look more promising. Just thinking back to the ACI Aragorn, everyone was really negative about that before it arrived in hand with collectors, then everyone was scrambling to pick one up.
