HT Ben a worthy upgrade to the magical sideshow Ben. Doesn't have the likeness of the SS, but the cloak & lightsaber are very nice. The robes are too transparent and the weakest part about him. I used the SS robes underneath his robes to help with that. Even though the SS Ben can still hold its own, all those years since release are noticeable now. And if you don't own a 1/6 scale Obi Wan, it's an easy decision.

I don't know if there's been a direct side by side but there are plenty of comparison pics in this thread. It's a matter of opinion. Me, I think that HT Ben looks better than the SS version. Most people that prefer the SS sculpt do so with the caveat that it needs a repaint. Even then, to me, it looks more like a caricature still.

The SS just looks more like Alec Guinness in a weird way. The HT does look like Guinness here & there but it's overall proportions, paint app and benefit of newer tech put it on a higher level IMO. Here's a side by side of my stock paint SS(sans robes) & the HT.

I like them both, I have pre-ordered the HT version and have the SS version. with out seeing the HT in hand I do like the SS Head more repainted. I repainted mine a little over a year ago.

Yes I was. Below is my post from a few days ago.

"Did you ask to change the flex schedule or pay the balance you have left? My flex was moved to the end of January a few weeks ago. Since I noticed others where having there's shipped, today I asked SSC if I could pay the remaining balance and have him shipped sooner. They told me I could pay the reaming balance now and it would be shipped today. My lonely Stormtrooper will finally have a buddy on Tuesday. Maybe I was a lucky. I preorder him in the middle of August."

Yes! UPS is bringing Obi-Wan to my house tomorrow! He was scheduled for Wednesday delivery, but the force is with him.

Got charged from BBTS for Ben and the Luke FX saber. Was not expecting everything at once lol. And I'm on vacation on the beach so won't be back to see it all for a while.
