He looks great....I have to say it though, despite all the great videos and pics lately I'm back to really struggling with the likeness again. My personal report card on the entire OT release as they moved from proto to production is currently this:

Han: Step-Up (production figure looks VERY good particularly when you find the "right" angle for display, and the production changed brough Ford out as the proto nearly completely failed, IMHO)

Luke: Step-Back (The proto likeness, IMHO, was awe inspiring, and while the production paint job didn't quite measure up to the JC Hong masterpiece, its still very, very good

Darth Vader: Fookin' WOW, Bloody 'ell!! (Easily the best production Vader we've ever had. The production piece is on an entirely different level compared to the lack-luster proto.

Chewie: Step-Up (This judgement, I suspect is everything to do with the in-hand futzing owners are doing, and not much with any actual proto to production changes - with the possible exception of the newer batches seeming to be coming in with lighter fur on the face...)

Ben: No perceptible change (Haven't seen this one in person, though, so that major x-factor acknowledged. After being REALLY impressed by Clipper's video review, I went back to my SS Old Ben to pose with the HT pieces, and although the paint job is obviously not on par with HT, I just see Alec from every angle on the SS sculpt. So call me a fool, but I think I'll be sticking with SS Ben).

Although the SSC Ben has a great sculpt, I think the HT improvements in paint, and outfit (in my opinion) and the lightsaber (which I'm liking more and more) do make it a worthwhile trade-up. He's certainly idealized, but in the right lighting (like in my basement), the age/wrinkles do come out.

Han looks great from below. In other words, if he is on a slightly higher shelf, and you're looking up at him, I think the sculpt looks excellent!

Fashionably late to the Obi party. Not a fan of the undershirt material, and likeness issues aside, its a phenomenal figure. Long live Hot Toys. R.I.P. Sideshow #hottoysfanboy

Anyone who has left the hood up, have you noticed any staining on the head?

I want to leave it up on mine but am concerned about staining.

So I grabbed my wifes DSLR and tried to take some nice shots. First time I put it on auto and took some pics with the flash and they sucked and could barley see the lightsaber lit up. So I took the flash off and took some shots and most of them turned out blurry. Fiddled with some more settings and didnt get the results desired, but here is the best of them.

It's not the camera that takes the nice shot but the photographer :lol

Cant wait until mine comes Tuesday.

Can anyone tell me how it looks posed with the SS ANH Vader and the ESB/ROTJ Vader?

Im thinking about picking up the HT Vader but if the other two Vaders look decent enough Ill use that money towards a Han/Chewey two pack.

is the nameplate removable? I can't get it off his base, it comes off with ease for my stormtrooper. I think I'll contact sideshow :lecture
