So this figure is literally sold out at every retailer I know in Australia. I've just ordered from Sideshow with $80 rewards, which were mostly free from Spook.

I think if you're still on the fence about this figure, you'd better get it quick because I reckon it's gonna go to waitlist soon if it is selling out in a lot of other places.

Received mine from TGTB&TR last week, very happy with the way it turned out

Agreed. Love the pic with Hammerhead, especially. Regrettably I had to sell that figure when I was tightening up my collection, but it's still one of my all-time favourites.

BBTS still has over 24 instock here state side.

Really would like to want to buy this figure but at regular price it's just not going to make the cut. Too many homerun figures and not enough money to burn to not get a 95% Alec on the shelf. Will wait another decade for the V2. :p

When I realized this was not heading for the 20% off bin at SS, I picked it up for a discount from Midtown comics. It's a great figure and I'm happy I got it, but still not really Alec.

I wasn't planning on picking up "Ben" until much later but the Midtown Comics sale lured me in as well.

I ordered from Midtown too using the 20% discount. Placed the order on the 2nd but haven't heard a peep out of them since. :huh Hopefully I'll get him next week.

Picked up an Old Ben today. Loved Alec. He is the only Obi to me because I don't really care for the prequels. He is such an essential character having taught both Anakin and Luke. A must have for the collection. Has anyone read the Kenobi novel? Thinking about picking it up. Also looking at the Darth Bane trilogy and Tarkin.

I love him and greedo. they still are my favorite. I remember when I first opened up ol hammer head my reaction was wow this guy is awesome

You're right.
That freaked me out.
Used all my reward points and just ordered him.

That is very weird. Have you received a shipping notice from Midtown? Give them a call just to make sure all is ok. Perhaps they are waiting for another shipment of the figure.

I finally got around to unboxing Obi-Wan last night; although it's a great figure that I'm glad to have I found the undershirt hard to manipulate to look natural. I also removed his outer robe until I can get the wrinkles out; I thought I'd try hanging it in the bathroom with the hopes that steam from the shower would assist. The display stand I received teeters on two corners...not much, but it certainly doesn't sit flat. I took it apart hoping I could adjust the screws to flatten it out but nothing I tried seemed to help, which really isn't a big deal. Because of the lack of display space, most of my figures are in museum poses and not very dynamic; I chose something like the below pose but found you can't get his hand on his belt like shown in the HT photo; the lack of a ball-joint at his wrist does not allow the downward bend. To me, the pose in the photo looks like his forearm is parallel to the ground with the hand bent at the wrist; am I not seeing or doing something wrong or can his hand be made to bend that way?
