I think both have their own likeness issues but I'll reserve my final judgement until I have my own HT Obi Wan in hand.

The favorable comments I've seen about him are all from either people who own him or, like Rmsceb, have seen him on display. The negative comments are usually from those judging solely by pictures.

I have the figure and it looks like the photos I saw beforehand, a couple angles or poses may bring out Alec a bit more but it's still not the greatest likeness. Great figure, beautifully detailed, but still lacking a bit in that department IMO.

That said, it's possible it's the only Ben we'll see and I like that there's only one version of Ben unlike Han/Luke with 10 different outfits each.

Is the sideshow code still available? I get daily emails from them but never get the monthly codes.

I could sit there and complain that the the likeness is not 100% but after examining closely in my hands, looking at pictures. I think the sculpter took some artistic freedom and infused a slightly younger Obiwan than the one we got in ANH. I swear I see a little Ewan infused in the sculpt.

Great pics on here helped make this an easy purchase. Used points and got it for $112:yess:

So can anyone suggest a good way to get the wrinkles out of the cloak? Light ironing?

I ironed mine but used a white shirt to cover it so the iron doesnt touch the material directly.

Water treatment is what I usually do. Use a spray bottle to wet the robe and form as you like.

Thanks paramoremcm88 you just cost me £200! :wink1:

I went and ordered this from loontentoys - I've never ordered anything from him before, is he as good as his feedback suggests?

New from Trevor. Not sure what it's for. Post it here? Why not!?

Obi arrived the other day and from the quick look I had at him he is one top figure, sadly like all my recent orders he has been boxed away until I move my collection around in the New Year. But yeah a top job from HT.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I'm so mad at myself right now. Thought I pose Obiwan to get ready for Vader so I get all the stuff out. Gonna pose him right before he meets Vader with his saber hilt straight out from his belt like many have you have done already. I make a regular arm saber hilt and realize the light up arm would be more movie accurate with the thumb going up the saber. So I set the two arms right next to each other and look at my phone and I don't pay attention and put one arm on and dismantle the other arm to put away and it was the light up arm and I took the saber right off of the hand. Little wire broke and took a little peg that was glued into the hand right off. I swear the saber came out easier than the hilt in a closed hand in the regular arm.

I put the batteries in once then took them out as I wasn't going to leave them in there but it still sucks. Lesson learned.
