1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 283 - Star Wars Episode IV: 1/6th scale Obi-Wan Kenobi

I so gotta get this asap. My focus is all about Obi Wan/Anakin & Old Ben/Vader . I've already got all 4 from S'S, but after seeing this Old Ben in the flesh the other day. HT have just knocked it outta the park.

Like I said I love mine and I think it's better then the sideshow version rotj. I love the helmet the most on the hot toys. My favorite Vader non custom Vader helmet. And like others have said the belt needs to be adjusted for more screen accurate look. Other then that it's awesome. The gloves are growing on me as you can't notice they are a separate piece at first glance. And the tank I have them in was a converted fish tank (never used of course) with a LED top.
I'm also having trouble finding a high quality Death Star back ground for my tank.

It helps to put this Ben into very movie-shot-accurate poses. And with hood up or head tilted down it looks nice.

Gave my Obi-Wan more of a belly - the figure is too skinny. Think it looks much closer now:

Got my Obi-Wan yesterday and got inspired to do the classic duel (HT Vader in forground). It is a great figure and likeness!

Thanks everyone! I feel like I have to do something creative with these (besides posing them on my desk throughout the day) to justify the money I'm dropping on them! Even though they're just fun to look at. I have to get some time to set up my tabletop studio to shoot with, these are all just iphone shots with the lights I have on hand. There's some great photography on this forum and, to me, shooting these figures is a whole hobby unto itself.

Thanks all - yeah, pretty happy with my Obi-Wan - ended up getting another obi-wan 'fat' suit from TA, but it really added nothing - so just added some paper toweling - lol.

The obvious answer is because that was supposed to be his name originally, not his title. In regards to making it fit with how things turned out, I would say that despite Obi-Wan's tone, he is mocking that title. He is taunting Vader and buying everyone else time to escape. That's my take anyway.

And yes, great fig, I love it too!
