Anyone else think that they intended Obi-Wan and Vader to be a 2-pack. Hopefully Obi-Wan has been delayed to sort out the headsculpt.

They were able to avoid that above/side angle that made Vader look so odd and fox-like at the toy show. Not an angle we ever saw Vader in the films. Think Ben will look like Han. Impressive in that it looks human, but off.

I have no need for the two pack. Sticking with my SSC Vader. I'm fine with this being a single release. But I do think they wanted to put this out as a two pack.

Following on from Bmacattack's photoshopped image I did the same, not changing the sculpt itself but seeing if it was possible to make him look older by adjusting darkness and lightness of certain areas....don't know if it worked, but I'll throw it in the hat anyways.

That definitely helps. Although ultimately it just makes even more clear that the face isn't narrow enough and the features not sunken in enough.

That's pretty much the conclusion I came to, too. One can make it look narrower with a good repaint, and hollow the cheeks and shade other areas like a make-up artist would, but it would be a pain to have to go to all that trouble.

I did. Surprised he isn't up for order in a 2 pack with Vader yet. I'm hesitant to order Vader solo with a NRD without knowing if an exclusive 2 pack like the other 4 figures have been offered as is coming or not. I'm going to wait it out, hoping for the 2 pack. But if they do offer that, hopefully Sideshow will over to convert orders for those that bought the single Vader and want a 2 pack.

It is strange that they haven't announced this as a 2 pack with Vader, but perhaps HT have delayed the pre order on this to tweak the sculpt. They must have read about the complaints at some point.
They may still do the 2 pack with Vader and just switch people over to that order if they prefer to buy the bundle.

I'm hesitant on ordering Vader too just in case a two pack of him and Ben comes along. If it weren't for the nonrefundable deposit it wouldn't be a big deal but I don't want to drop $30 and have a set come out that includes an exclusive or something that I'll want. I wonder how much Ben will be by himself. I wouldn't think as much as Vade and probably more in the range of $230 or so like Han.

Ben's looking a bit mummified there but you guys with photoshop are certainly starting to show what needs to be done with the HT sculpt.

Just get the rights to the original SS headsculpt and give it a good paint job.

After he's been recast using hydrospan 400 to shrink the head by 10-20%. As with most older SSC heads, it's a bit of a melon. That SSC sculpt shrunk and with more added details (it's lacking in fine sculpt detail) with HT apps/eyes would be the ultimate.
