Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver figure discussion
True. But could be true for just about any character in the film. There's too much plot and the plot is lazy and stupid. Still, had some cool moments, but all in all this film is like a poorly executed Michael Bay film (not the old stuff, but the new transformers stuff) just without the visual flair that Bay has. I hope that the longer cut has more character development, and gives the characters the room and love they deserve. You can feel that Whedon really loves these guys and gals, so I hope his cut has more of it.
My favorite scenes were the non-action scenes - the party and at the farm. We got a tiny bit of character development here, a glimpse, but all in all, this was a slugfest with little to no soul. I'm too old for that ****.
The audience had no emotional attachment or investment in this character. He had no motive, no aspirations or goals. In the eyes of the audience he was a total stranger.
