If he's wearing a helmet why does he need a hood šŸ˜Æ

I've not seen this image before, but when I get my Rey I will be replicating this scene! I gotta make my diorama base. Obviously with a masked Ren.

This pic makes me wish..

1. That HT gave us a unmasked sculpt
2. Gave us another angry Rey sculpt instead of the dough eyed stare

I'm putting my eggs in Greg's basket. If HT does one it will likely be battle damaged and Greg's sculpt is bang on.

As much as I love this figure and love Kylo Ren, it's really starting to bug me now! I find myself playing around with the pose everything single day. But I think the thing that is bugging me is the hood! It just doesn't look right. It kind of flicks up at the front. Also I don't know if it should be positioned further back on the helmet or what? Ahh, I dunno! Can't pinpoint what it is.

See for me the hood is essential! That is the look of Kylo Ren for me.
It's just it doesn't quite look right on my HT.

Did you try cutting the side threads. What I noticed is that HT used some kind of kind of substance too make the hood feel tacky and hard to futz with. What I did was give the entire hood a soaking and pulled the corners of the hood far apart and pinched the back so it was more curved. The corners of the hood need to overlap the shaw not squeezed into the shaw

Basically you want the shaw to look more flat. Also you want curve the sides of the hood more while flaring it out. Think of making it look like a shape of a bell. You can also bend the front

Do you get what I mean about the rim of the hood though? It kinda like curls upwards, like quiff!

Yeah I get it. like I said there is something sticky that HT put on the hood to make it hard to futz with , but if you soak the hood it makes the hood and rims softer so you can bend and contort and reshape.

Believe it or not, try that step of the water treatment where the hood is on the figure and then pore warm to hot water over it, drenching it. While it's drenched, use your fingers and start pushing the back of the hood closer to the helmet working your way to the front of the rim and pushing or bending it while pulling the corners of the hood gently outward

Need to let it dry properly I gave it a full 24 hrs because I drenched it many times.

Caution: it might smell, like wet sponges, but that's the material, don't worry the smell will go away when it dries at least in four hours so put it in a good cooling place and leave it alone all day.

This is not a tip I got, I did this myself and discovered this

It sounds odd but I can tell you now the hood is so much easier to futz with

LOL, I agree now I just stop looking at it. The problem is the material is more stiff then needed and should drape more natural. When is HT ever going to up their game when it comes to capes and fabric material. So far Vader's cape is decent enough but the tunic is a different story.

It's open in the back and probably catches a draft. You can see his hair sticking out of the back when he has the hood down... Or maybe it's a Knights of Ren thing, part of the dress code...
