What's the deal with this figure having no visor? The cloth behind the Eye plate looks really unfinished.

Just put in a locked in preorder at my local shop. Grand total tax included was $205.65. So hyped for this guy. They said he should be in late next month or early February. Glad I don't have to pay ridiculous sideshow shipping and they give a 10% discount on top just for preordering with them!

It's takes like one second of contemplating why he would care about Vader so much to realize where his backstory is going.

Can't wait to pose him with the troopers. Going to try to mirror 2 detolfs, Vader flanked by 2 stormies in the first and Kylo flanked by FO stormies in the second.

Well a person can see through sheer cloth. But I think the actual costume has nothing there it's just recessed so far his eyes are always in shadow.

Nah, saw it on display, there is a thin layer of black mesh to hide the actors eyes inside, there isn't a lens of any kind.
From a filmic point of view it's simply to create a black shadowy eye area with no detail. It's a common theatrical mask technique. HT got it right. If there wasn't a separator you would wonder where the eyes are.

One of the reasons i don't really care for Kylo's character is the mask. Vader wore his mask to stay alive. It was necessary for his breathing, etc. Kylo's serves no other purpose than making his voice sound different. No actual lenses to enhance vision. Unnecessary for breathing. He wears it to basically say, "Look at me, I'm a bad guy. Can't you tell by my voice changer?" He's a wannabe Vader in every possible way. Lame.

They have them because they are soldiers under fire. Kylo is a command figure is not endangered by enemy fire. Also, a mask is not necessary for a sith. The emperor, Count Dooku, Vader when he was still Anakin......all these were in command without unnecessary helmets. Kylo only wears it to try to be as badass as Vader and he is not. He is a wannabe.
