I gave it sometime and finally decided that Im going to wait it out and not order the 2 pack. They teased that ROTJ Vader- its has to be on the horizon soon.

Sold my ANH Vader so I'm simply Sith-lissssssssss.....

Stay strong mate! One day they will put up a Vader version you want. I am in the same boat, waiting on a ESB or RotJ Vader and ESB Han.

If you could wait probably 2-3 more years for the perfect Vader then its ok. Counting from the "tease date" to actual PO date to release date would be a long process though.

I waited too long on the Tarkin single release and it sold out. I just bought the Tarkin/Vader 2-Pak from BBTS. What did the Tarkin single figure originally sell for? Anyone know?

I just opened my set, man I love it! Its amazing. Does anyone know if vaders helmet is supposed to be like this though with no silver on the right side of his mouth area? IMG_0810.jpgIMG_0809.jpg

Yeah the original helmet is all beat up and scorched looking. Some people love that helmet for precisely that reason. If you look very closely, you should also see some parts of the face are gunmetal gray, but only on one side. It was a really cool design.

My favorite movie is ESB, so i prefer the shiny mask with both tusks painted.

This is why he boarded the Tantive IV in Ep4, he was looking for his missing silver tusk after his run in with the rebels at the end of Rogue One :lol

Didn't they paint it that way as it showed up better on camera?

I kinda feel like that's a bit of movie magic, that wasn't supposed to be translated into the actual representation of the character. I feel the same way about those painted blue highlights on BTAS Batman ... his cape isn't actually blue, that's just the way the light reflects.

Those silver bits on Vader are just supposed to be reflections, just that they painted them silver to make it look like reflections. It just feels like they messed up painting it, and now it's been immortalized in plastic, and it was never meant to be interpreted that way.

I sort of agree but it depends on everyone's preference. I forget if it was here or on the other Vader threads there was some fun discussion a few months back with lots of behind the scenes pics and pics of the guy who wore Vader's costume out for appearances just trying to figure out if there was a stud on the strap to his chest box.

Some people here definitely want the costume and others want the character. It's like with Masterpiece Transformers and now their shift to cartoon accurate everything the last few years instead of a 'real world' look at the figures.

Yeah our memory isnt very good sometimes when it comes to nostalgia. The vader costumes are a good example. The bespin duel scene i think also has a shot from behind vader, the stuntman,as vader is actually looking through a hole in the mask to see mark hamill, i dont want my toy vader to have that level of accuracy.

Hello, I am looking for Darth Vader base from Grand Moff Tarkin & Darth Vader version, not R1 or ANH. Let me know if you have one to sell.

sorry to butt in, but I have a very simple question: is the Vader's cape in this set, wired?

Thanks a lot guys.
