I wish we didn't focus so much on what isn't perfect, and more on the awesomeness of it as a whole. The community is so negative nowadays.

I just watched The Last Jedi again, and liked it even more. Attitude has a lot to do with it.

You're not paying 230$ just for an headsculpt though. There's the scale, clothing, accessories, collector's artbox, etc. who i think are all 10/10 with this one.

If you want a more accurate version, i think the SH Figuarts is pretty good.



Personnally, i prefer the Jedi Training version. I have the TFA Rey and i'm kinda tired of that blank stare. The new version is less accurate, but it shows alot of character (i think it's a first for any Hot Toys female figure).

She defeated Kylo after he had survived a Bowcaster round. And she didn't beat Luke at all. She just grabbed a lightsaber when they were fighting with sticks, and Luke had EASILY disarmed her.

That's a fair point. I really like the likeness on my TFA Rey, but it would be nice to have a figure that captures more of that fiery personality she has on screen.

The blank expression doesn't work so well with any pose of her holding the lightsaber or blaster I've found.

Movie still suck. PS smoke told that Kylo. Do you believe Rey will lose lol. Disney won't let her. Again nothing to look forward too.

I asked this question about the pistol , because I ordered figure . I do own the first version and the resistance version.I do like the character thou. I was sharing my thoughts , but she is OVER POWERED and a MARY SUE. And TLJ is just Plain old bad writing and planning.

I didn't get the TFA Rey but have PO'd the Jedi Training Rey because, like you said, it has character.

Same thing with Black Widow. It took them several attempts until they nailed it with he Civil War version.

I guess we can keep an eye out for the eventual Ep IX sculpt.

And even then, when he fell after she grabbed the light saber, he didn't hit the ground. He levitates above the ground until she lowers the lightsaber. He's still in control. When people actively try to hate a movie, they will certainly be successful and will certainly not see what is plain as day.

As for the figure including the gun... It's screen accurate. Regardless of whether she needs it at that point, she has it.

SS can't get this soon enough. I needs it. I watched TLJ last night during laundry time... I might have to get some lobster guards. That is just a wonderful fight scene. I wish the Kylo Ren sculpt had as much attitude as this Rey sculpt.

Yeah, I don’t think Luke ever really felt threatened by her.

He disarms her pretty quickly when she’s actually trying to strike at him with her staff, but is not expecting her to grab the saber and he stumbles when she raises it. He used the Force to break his fall and levitate, and I’m guessing probably would have used it again to quickly disarm her again if she moved to try and strike at him, but she immediately lowered it.

Exactly, because she's not a killer. That was just her immediate reaction. Almost a tantrum. She's raw. I like her sincerity.

I can live with a blink-and-you'll-miss-it continuity error. That one I'm sure most missed even without blinking. OT continuity errors don't bug me much either. But man, in the Two Towers when Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas find the smoldering orc bodies left by Eomer, the entire scene is left-right flipped and it drives me insane. Ymmv.

I hate it when I notice something (moreso when someone else points it out to try to diminish my enjoyment) that is a big mistake you can't unsee.

Like... where did Han and Luke's boots go when they put on the stormtrooper armor, and they took them off? Arrgh!!!

Eh, she hasn't killed anyone, but little uncontrolled episodes of rage like that can potentially cause one to kill someone. She looked like she was about ready to kill Kylo if they hadn't been separated by that fissure.

My post was more a reference to how Luke had the situation under control, rather than it being a case of Rey let him live.

I don't really think she wanted to or would have killed Luke at all. She used the lightsaber to win an argument. But your opinion is valid. Anger is very dangerous if left unchecked!

No I concur. I think she's like Luke in the sense where she has Dark Side moments where they attack in anger, but then they stop themselves. However, my point was that even if she didn't stop herself and moved to strike Luke, I believe Luke had the situation under control. He used the Force to break his fall, and Rey lowered the saber shortly after. However, if she didn't and she made an aggressive move to strike him down, there's no reason to not believe that Luke would have used the Force again and quickly disarmed Rey again, as he did with her staff moments earlier.
