She definitely is a keeper. It amazes our friends and family that she "lets" me spend the money on what they perceive as "dolls" and "kid toys". But she is awesome and realizes that collecting is part of who I am, and that it makes me happy. And as she tells all the nay sayers, if it makes him happy and i love him, why would I deny him what makes him happy. She is awesome.

I feel you. Same thing here. My GF has growing collection. Being we like the same stuff also works.

You know, it seems we have a cool bunch of partners/wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/husbands on this site. Mine has been OK with our/my 1:6 collection right from the start. The first figures we got were the old SSC 007 line and she is a MASSIVE 007 fan.

Now she see's the artistic value of the figures we have and her current fave is HT's Chris Reeve Superman.

Friends, I give a toast to our respective partners...:duff

I've had my Gantry sealed since last summer and finally opened it this morning. Very happy with it.

Good plan, I would love to see that. I am kicking myself for not getting this when it was readily available... I just really want the Mark IV since my collection is turning into an armor line up.

On the other topic, my girlfriend is actually very comfortable with my collection - she's a collector herself, though our passions are a bit different. Regardless, she knows what its like and supports it... when we have the money.

Money's the only legitimate thing I can see why someone's partner would become annoyed with one's collection (assuming it doesn't take over living space or whatnot). I ensure my wife gets an equal amount of goodies in clothing, shoes and camera stuff (her hobby) so that she doesn't get resentful when the boxes start coming in from SSC or BBTS.

My girlfriend and I never fight. She has her money and I have my money. My ex wife on the other hand we did fight all the time. Problem was she got mad on how I spent money. I did try to buy the closed Lowes so I would have more room, and live in it. Yes she is a keeper, did not say anything bad but you really like that movie (judge Dredd 7 times, yes I like it)

On topic does anyone know when this is going up for PO?

Edit, sorry I thought I was on the Ironman 3 thread.
