I'm happy you are the one and member here too, congratulations.

Having just got the IM2 Mark IV. Does anyone else have loose ankle/knee? Not loose in the sense that they dangle but it's not as stiff when trying to keep him standing compared to the other figures.

for the ankle: if you pop off the feet you will be able to remove the double ended ball adapter from the leg. future or an acrylic based sealer on the b-a-l-l-s (lol censored) will tighten them up and allow you no to worry about unfortunate tumbles

for the knee: what part is loose? the MK IV and VI are pretty notorious for having broken knee joints inside the leg. most people don't even realize its broken and just think its loose :(
if you can dangle the figure and wobble the leg back and forth at the knees...you may have a break on the connecting armature inside. blame the design i guess :dunno

shake him side to side and back and forth and see if you can hear a rattle inside the leg with the loose knee.

i have no real tips for tightening the knees unfortunately. everything is inside the leg that controls how tight they are.

Can you perhaps point me to a Acrylic sealer? I googled it and a bunch came up..

As far as the knee, the funny thing is I can dangle him and shake him, hear a rattle yet the knees don't move. Like I said, the knees are actually more stiff than the ankles. If I pose his knees, they pretty much stay there, it seems to be more of an issue on the ankles of the figure. :dunno

i would just be careful with extreme bends on the leg and you will be ok. you defiantly do not want to stress it. the inner leg has a connecting bar that loops around where the leg is screwed together. its normally the plastic around the screw that cracks causing the leg to be looser then it should....

its hard to explain without pictures :gah:

if you can find future floor polish your set. it is an acrylic sealer its fine for fixing loose joints and completely removable with a little Windex...it will only run you 6 bucks at walmart. ive been using it for loose joints for a few years always does the trick.

i would try this before doing a permanent setting sealer solution.
