I think so.
Maybe not doubled in a year, but certainly significantly increased.

The IM franchise is very popular and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Mine arrived today at work. BBTS made a fan. My BBTS box was mint, and the HT shipper was perfect. I have yet to crack it open. I have plans for a diorama. I need to do some measurements but I got some plans. Nothing on scale of GeeWiz but im going to try and do something cool.

The heaviest box I've ever gotten from BBTS showed up today. And ******* is this thing gorgeous. I can't wait to get some shelf space to assemble this thing. Best purchase so far this year.

Just an innocent inquiry (perhaps in the wrong forum) to the lucky owners of the gantry... anyone here have a Mark IV they'd be willing to part with?

Money's the only legitimate thing I can see why someone's partner would become annoyed with one's collection (assuming it doesn't take over living space or whatnot). I ensure my wife gets an equal amount of goodies in clothing, shoes and camera stuff (her hobby) so that she doesn't get resentful when the boxes start coming in from SSC or BBTS.

Well for maybe 1 million dollars...

Hmmm... let me check my finances, I'll see if I can swing it and I'll get back to you...

Well let me know, right now my cat is playing with it. All joking aside best to hit ebay. I know people were selling the Granty with out the mark 4 and dummy for $350/4000

yeah, I've been seeing those - pretty expensive, but in all likelihood the cheapest option. It's funny, the cheapest figure I've purchased (Avengers Mark VI) is, 7 months later, the most valuable in my entire collection :lol

If you look hard enough, you might find a mk iv for $275~300.......funny, if you look at early posts everyone said this piece was overpriced!

I originally purchased the Gantry w/Mark IV set solely for the Mark IV figure - I missed out on the first release, and figured I could just sell the Gantry to defray the cost.
It completed my set of Marks: I have the MKI 2.0, MK2 Unleashed, MK3 BD, MKIV from Gantry set, MKV and the MKVI with BD parts. The Mark VI I got from GoHastings.com in 2011, then a week later my Sideshow waitlist for the Exclusive converted, so I ended up with two (actually three, as I was lucky enough to score the Avengers Mark VI from Sideshow last year).
Now I think I'll keep the Gantry as well, but use an extra MKVI to display with it, rather than the IV. I also have the Hall of Armors 7-pack pre-ordered through BBTS; damn, this is an expensive hobby! :lol

The Gantry is really a sight to behold when you see it in person. Pictures simply do not do it justice. I think that's why I kept mine unopened for the longest because I didn't realize how awesome in spectacle it was.

I had some friends over who do not collect or care for toys at all. But when they saw the Gantry with Mark IV displayed, they were like oh s***, what is that??!? That looks awesome/great, etc.

It really is a striking piece and is a must for any HT Iron Man collector.
