I think it looks great, and I'm sure they'll improve it before the final version. I really like her outfit, but one thing about it bothers me - she lives on a desert planet, she takes great care to cover up, so what's with the short trousers? Don't her calves and shins get burnt?

$290 for the set? JFC. I've been priced out of these collectibles so hard it's ridiculous. I guess I'll watch the movie and choose one of them to sort of "represent" the thing but at the price of these and the speed they're coming out there is no way I can collect all of them.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm not quite priced out yet, but it's definitely starting to get painful.

But so far it does look like Rey/BB-8 will be the best one to represent the movie as a whole, given that she appears to be the central character.

I just can't forgot about all those kids that bought the Jar-Jar figures before they saw The Phantom Menace.

LOL, I thought about that the other day. I wonder who the "Jar Jar" of this is going to be.

He was actually a pretty cool design at the time.:dunno

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. These releases are just coming way too fast and overpriced for me to even dream of keeping up. At this point I'm actually just considering waiting to see what PFs Sideshow does for TFA and picking up one or two of them. At least I can rely on SS to take their sweet time to release them and I'll have much longer to pay them off. With these Hot Toys I'm looking at four payments a month totaling well over $250 just for the figures I'm interested in in TFA alone, never mind the OT. I want them, but I know realistically I just can't do it.

Ordered. I figure since the prequels don't bother me it would take something pretty horrid to not be obsessed with these movies. I'm in for all characters. It's a good price for the two of them and Rey's figure looks great to me. Plus I had $70 in rewards so she's a really good price for me.

I agree! I love all 6 of the films and I don't see this trilogy being anything but superb. SW is master class IMO and my favorite series of all time.

The price was suprisingly fair. I was afraid we'd get SSC pricing. I'm in for now at least on the Rey & BB-88 pack. Got it on BBTS :)

Design was OK for a strange background "cantina" character but doesn't seem ideal or natural for a primarily underwater creature.

Pretty sure it will be BB-8 and his copycat cuteness of R2.

So so HS- doesn't look very much like Daisy to me- very "generic" looking

If jar jar abrams pulls the same **** he's done to star trek, you might be singing a different tune.

There are moments like this when I'm really glad I'm not a completionist. I'll probably just pick two or three characters from the movie (assuming it will be good) and be fine with that. With two more movies coming out and the stand-alone movies in-between, there's no way I could afford to do it differently.

I keep thinking this as each new release comes out. I can't get them all and this is the first of many many movies to come. The hardest thing is trying to figure out which ones are the 'can't miss this time around' figures. Is this version of Rey going to be 'the iconic' version? etc..... I hope I choose wisely. I threw in an order at BBTS for the heck of it.

I agree the second Trek movie left a lot to be desired, but I think that's because he and his writers were never a good match for the franchise. So far this seems to be a MUCH better fit, and I haven't seen anything yet that's caused me to question that.
