Maybe we'll see two BB-8's, the one with this set that just rolls and another one that rolls but where the head can also be locked into place, that can give a thumbs up, etc.

I wondered if this one had a thumbs up attachment.

Man, I'd love if a high quality 1/6 Wall-E was made. I have a number of Wall-E's, but none I'd display with Hot Toys. Would be cool to have a shelf with Artoo, BB-8, and Wall-E.

There's no question it's magnetic; perhaps there's a fixed location where you can set the head to make it stay in place?

It will likely affix via a similar(But simplified) version of the way the real one is attached.
You have an internal weight with a low centre of gravity, on ball bearings, a pole going up from that with a magnet on it. The internal weight always stays down low, and the pole is always at the top, even when rolling. So the head has a magnet and stays attached.
It will be possible to remove the head to turn the lights on, and when doing so, you could put a little bit of blu tack underneath and place it where you want it to be.

I've been watching the bootleg footage from the TFA scenes on Youtube and one thing that is noticeable is that Rey sort of has a darkside to her when she uses the Force. Maybe she will be Dark before she becomes a jedi
hmm.

I reckon it's just because she was never taught the bland "no emotion or attachment" approach to the Force. She's full of emotion, but I don't think any darkness in her.

A Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense. Never for attack. Of course she is not a Jedi yet and has no training but she definitely uses the force to defend herself and to attack. Aggressively. And let's not forget that anger fear and aggression are paths to the dark side.

If they can sell baby Groot and Ant-Man on an ant by themselves, they could have done so with BB-8.

I woudn't be shocked if BB-8 came for sale later on with more accessories to try and get people to buy both this bundle and the individual one.

She was definitely enraged in her final scuffle with Kylo. She wanted to do 'im. Not the fun way.

It's a long shot but I hope they do an iteration with (battle/action)headsculpt. adds a lot more play since rey was in action a lot. shooting the stormtrooper, beating jakku bois with staff, chasing finn, force fight with ren, saberfight with ren, running to garbage ship, etc.

Maybe if they push through with the lightsaber version of Rey.

Rey gets a second version in the 3 3/4" line as she appears at the end of the film. Hot Toys should do this too (and this time include a lightsaber)...

I'm almost certain we will see that version of Rey. We might even see the reveal by next Toy Soul.

Anyway, I'm glad I stopped collecting smaller scale stuff. I've seen those atrocities in person and they're only a step up from the 80s figures.

I guess there's always the Black Series. However, I have hundreds and hundreds of great Star Wars figures from the past 15 years or so. I'm content with just getting a few select characters from this film in 1/6 scale. :)

The Black Series is really no better. Just blown up 3 3/4" figures, really… especially in the paint app department.

:exactly:
I thought about getting some of the black series, but decided against it because they barely resemble the characters.
That's one reason I only collect 1/6, despite the cost. Anything less just looks like a poor quality mess and I would be kind of embarrassed to have on display in my home. At least with these HT figures, even non-collectors can appreciate them artistically because of how life like they are.

It's interesting to see that her new outfit still had her arms wrapped and shins exposed with the short boots just like Jakku, I guess Abrams likes the look. It's odd too since in the OT each film Luke had a completely different looking outfits.

The script tells that she acted in anger I believe. I heard as if Snoke was telling her to kill Ren.

Not just that though. When she read Kylo's mind too, the way she said " You will never be Darth Vader " granted she was just expressing how Kylo felt deep inside but it still seemed weird

I truly believe Rey's Jedi arc is going to be unique and the Darkside will be involved
