Hey guys, I PO'd the Exclusive set...Ouch my wallet again.

I know this thread is for the Commander but was wondering if we can combine the 2 threads together so its easier to follow. Would the be ok of one of the Mods combines the 2 threads into one??

So if you're getting both, it looks like the set is better. Its an exclusive that gives you these.

not sure, the descriptiona nd photos on sideshowtoys.com make it pretty confusing. The photos only show the "exclusive" items plus 1 arm canon in the set. so its like they are swapping the new weapons with one of the arm cannons, its not that you are getting "extra" weapons. The description doesn't clearly state what you are getting, since it only talks about one of the figures.

If you in fact get both figures with all their accessories as if you ordered them individually PLUS you get the extra stuff and for $5 less, then its not a bad combo.

Agreed. I keep wanting to look back at particular posts, but I confuse the two threads and it's awful annoying.

Also… Yikes @ the price. Why can't HT use the hard drive approach? 1TB = $70, 2TB = $100… You know, where the price doesn't go up 100% for every piece you add?

You make a good Point.....We need someone from SSC to investigate. They had to fix the Thor descriptions last time....

All the new figures are going to be more, every figure they've opened pre-orders on lately has been more pricey. I think Snake Plisskin was the last one under their old pricing. Welcome to inflation.

I didn't pass on these though, I like them, even though they aren't cheap. I'm going to have to sell some of my other figures off in order to pay for these and make display room, but its ok, my priority is the original Avengers film line, and Hemsworth Thor. So I'm good. (And should I change my mind and want the Avengers 2 figures when they start coming out, I'll have to sell the original Avengers figures, it's just prioritizing what I like the most - most of us have to do it anyway, unless you're filthy rich - I'm not, personally, and I have to skip lots of other things to be able to get these.)

This isn't a complaint, its simple economics. I won't complain, I'm only saying I make my choices.

Snake Pliskin was a Sideshow Figure, not Hot toys. Sideshow Also put up nathan drake yesterday for 159.99

There is a level of greed present, AS WELL AS the cost of the liscense to consider.

I'll be passing for now. too much.

Yes, if you are thinking of getting both, the set would be the route to go. You get three additional items with the set plus it is $5 less than buying the two separate.

The deceptive part of this "deal" is how big these guys are. They will tower over the Avengers sans Hulk. Hot Toys should have shot an image of them with a couple of Avengers to show the size comparison.

Tempted by the set, the NRD is putting me off ordering right now though. Doubt these will sell out anytime soon so I'll hold off till nearer the time.

Amazing that by the time these come out the film will be two years old!!

Anyway I agree the Price is up there. I would have liked to see 400 for the set.

Do you think we get 2 Diorama Stone base's one for each figure, or just one base with the set?
