Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Chitauri Footsoldier

At 240 each, they're in Ironman range and don't have the electronics and accessories like IM. Now in order to get the set, which is cheaper than buying the two separately, have to buy from SS, good sales strategy. However, if you buy them separately from a discount retailer like Action Figure Xpress, which may end up being 15-20 dollars cheaper, they may end up being cheaper than the set from SS. Only problem is you won't get the special rifle and hand, again, good sales strategy. So if you aren't concerned about the exclusive accessories, buying them separately elsewhere may be better.
On a side note I think these should've been 200 each with the set at 400, especially since they aren't major characters. Should've been BW or Coulson price. But then I realized they should be almost as tall as Hulk.

Im pretty sure the one on the BD MK 7 base is NOT that big

Re: The Avengers: 1/6th scale Chitauri Commander Collectible Figure

If you get the set, the soldier, and the commander, you can display two with full helmets on and two without - that's what I'm hoping to do depending on pricing.

And yes, they're adorable. I will hug it and love it and I will name it Foofoo.

:goodpost: :hi5:

Gotta have it, the "movable rubble pieces" sealed the deal.

:exactly: ..just waiting for these to go up for PO on Forbidden Planet in the UK.. passed on Midas, but by Darwin's Beard, I gotta have rubble! :rock

Red Snapper was moved to April. You missed War Machine Mark 2 ( February) and the Cloud ( The Storm Riders) January.

Re: The Avengers: 1/6th scale Chitauri Commander Collectible Figure

Well at least if you order the pair, you save five bucks. At this price im very thankful I was never interested in them.

Im not surprised though. After seeing one in person at SDCC they are very detailed and I do remember it being bigger than a normal figure.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Chitauri Footsoldier

I don't really get it... two figures, they're at least as tall as predators from what I can see... naturally I like to get things as inexpensively as possible... but I don't see how the pricing is as out of line as some people are saying, because these aren't small figures, and they come with their own figure stands not just standard ones. The Iron Man Mark VII was more than one of these, and naturally you figure that's so because it lit up... but these guys are bigger. So why are people saying the pricing is out of line? Yeah, it's a lot... I'm going to have to sell stuff to pay for my order, but at least there's time, and would I like them for cheaper - sure! But still, all this *****ing and moaning about the price and how it's out of line... doesn't seem to be out of line, historically speaking, so what gives?

Actually MK VII was cheaper, I paid like 224.

What an over priced POS!
A nameless enemy.
No thanks and an easy pass!

Exactly, with things being so damn expensive now im extremely picky now... years ago I wouldn't have batted an eye at adding these... now theres way too much going on

Re: The Avengers: 1/6th scale Chitauri Commander Collectible Figure

I like these but they'd only look good with the BD MK VII imo, the rest of the Avengers aren't weathered at all and would look odd displayed with such weathered dirty figures

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Chitauri Footsoldier

They have these at 32cm or 12 1/2". I hope people aren't expecting to receive a 14" figure.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Chitauri Footsoldier

That's interesting. Cause if I remember right, the one at SDCC was comparable in height to the Hulk... does anybody have a head on shot of that side of the case?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Chitauri Footsoldier

This video shows a good comparison between Hawkeye on a riser and the Chitauri. It has to be a least 15"
