Love this guy but the hardware has always seemed to chrome to me. In the movie it seemed darker in the electronics so I thought would give it a little tough up. Here is a before and after shot.

finished the darkening. When I was checking the film for reference, I noticed small black rivets on the arm brackets so I decide I would throw those on as well. Ill try and shoot better pictures tomorrow.

My mech test is waitin' on my desk at work waiting for the smallish screwdriver to set the waist-clip-thingy. Then all who pass shall revel in TS awesomeness:yess:

Great work as always Robbie! gives it a "real world" quality :clap

I used black gesso from liquitex. Its nice because it dries flat and with the silver base it comes off a little brown as compared to some blacks that are blueish. Basically its paint on and wipe off leaving the black in the crooks and corners of the details. I originally was using a wash but the paint kept beading up on the surface so I switched to the latter technique. Im not done yet, I still need to come back and clean it up a little bit but as a whole I like it. My favorite bits are the rivets in the arm pieces. HT left those out when they sculpted them. I didn't paint those. I used a pin vise to drill little holes and lucky for me the base color of the material is black so I didn't have to come back in and repaint the drill holes. I also plan on adding real wire to replace the painted ones on the figure. Give it a little more oomph. I have also toyed with the idea of stripping out the "brass" parts and replacing them with real brass bits. Im not sure Im going to go that far, but you never know. This is the part of the hobby I like the best. Making a figure your own with the little details. And this figure is just perfect for this.

Thanks for the positive comments guys!
