but to me the Rocco one does not look like Reese at all, well at least to me, I'm just not feeling it in all honesty.
Everybody has their opinion, but seriously, to say it does not look like Reese at all causes you to lose all credibility. Even the Hot Toys head bears a slight resemblance to Reese. Is the Rocco sculpt perfect, no, but it is truly fantastic in hand. The pictures on here don't do it justice, whether the painted head by slikerrias or even Rocco's pictures of the raw sculpt. So many pictures that get posted on this forum end up being distorted in some fashion, whether it's the camera, the person taking the picture or even your computer screen. This sculpt needs to land in the hands of someone like Nathan Eakins or Jake Rahmier.

For the benefit of those who have not actually visited the Reese thread. The second set of pictures shows the sculpt superimposed over pictures of Reese. Enough said.

Hahahaha, credibility??? We are talking about over grown kids here spending loads a dosh on toys that the average Jo would never understand, so this hobby has no credibility, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That unpainted head does look a lot better and does look like Reese, but the painted one I seen earlier in the thread (the only one I have seen) didn't look like Reese for me.

But it's all good. :duff

Oh I see, now it's my paint job that's the problem ;-) ...well, maybe. I'm not done with him anyways and it's only my 10th head or so.

Maybe we should all just take the Reese talk to that thread and switch back to talking about the MMS136 here so this doesn't turn into an argument? :)

Because the Tech Noir Terminator is still one of Hot Toys' best.

There we go... Back to him! :)

nope, it's not like that. i've seen lots of sculpt that look like a real thing unpainted, because imagination builds it up to a real thing. it's easiest to make something monochrome to look like something, because brain cheats itself.

https://www.google.ru/search?q=bust...pvMAhVkJ5oKHb3BCFgQ_AUIBygB&biw=1920&bih=1104

if any of them were painted, they wouldn't look so nice anymore.

(search word is "bust", and i meant "white sculpture" and not "****s", as search result gives both :D)

but yep may be your Reese turned out too dark and weathered. what i know is that painted sculpts always get "pffff it was better unpainted". check this thread for example. there is a war going there over Kurt Russel headsculpt (while i don't know what they are even talking about, because he is as generic as somebody can be and i wouldn't recognize him EVER even if i saw him every day)

I agree as an overall statement that the unpainted sculpts have something that the painted ones don't have - but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with likeness per se. It's just really clean an pure shape, like a Roman statue (they were actually painted but we didn't know until recently).
I also agree that my Reese is too dark, I need to get some more colors from my studio to get especially the right hair color - I couldn't get the right mix and that's why I say he's not finished. Also
His eye color is wrong. But that is all on me not Rocco. I really think he did a great job on the likeness.

yep, after seeing the unpainted variant i agree! he should really hire a professional painter with a mass-production painting tech (they exis for sure, judging by amount of bootleg HT heads) and sell them ready-to-attach.

Can't argue with that.

Finally got my non damaged Tech Noir on a full TTM-20 body. No more puny Bane arms for him. Also better possibility on the TTM-20 body as opposed to the original MMS136 body -

Sidious!
I recently bought the body from the 238 for my tech noir version; it seems the neck is the same on the body your ttm 20...
So, i wanted to ask, did you just pushed the head into the neck? Or how did you made it fit?
Since there is no plug on the head and all...:p

Excellent Reese slikkerias, well done sir. I'm so close to picking up the one on eBay, I think P. has it in his collection. Hey P. what was it that you recommended that I do with the fire/smoke damage Tech Noir T-800 chain on the jacket again? If you remember pal?

Hey Sideous, do you feel the skin tone of the headsculpt matches the neck? I picked up a TTM20 to swap out the body on my Tech Noir as well, but when I did, I switched it back because they didn't match. Did you do anything to yours to make it match better, it looks good in these pics.

Working on tearing up the exposed endo arm. I wonder if there are any other BD effects I'm missing? Feedback appreciated!

Nice work pal.

@zxTASKMASTERxz - Yep just pushe the head into the neck peg on the TTM-20 body, easy as A,B,C....

@Bruisermoore - I did nothing at all pal. Was it an official HT TTM-20 that you purchased?

Messing about with the photo editor -

what you did is enough. there wasn't much weathering in the movie. i thought it was dull and added a lot more, including burn marks. that grey fabric gives wonderful burning effects due to color changing.

well actually you shouldn't expose the endoarm at all to start with, but i guess it became a popular fashion :)
i don't like that :(

old pants on that one.
must receive an extra 136 head before making full 136 photo set one by one, including replaced pants/boots.

Yeah, having the endo arm exposed trough the jacket is technically incorrect since it never happened in the movie.
