It's a huge pain in the *** and it will never be the same but I've done it before. The first thing you want to do is pop the footpad off the bottom of the foot. You have to slide the fabric of the boot out of the plastic seem that joins it to the blue fabric. They are not soon together or glued together only talked together into the crack of the calf. Once you peel down the red boot fabric there is black fabric underneath. You also have to peelback down to get to the rubber sleeve that goes over the entire foot and ankle. The rubber boot sleeve is glued on to the plastic ankle and foot so you have to be very careful not to tear the rubber sleeve.

Once you dislodge the rubber sleeve you can peel it all the way off to reveal the ankle post. You do not have to peel the rubber sleeve off of the foot you only need to peel it off of the ankle and calf to take the boot off. You can then remove the entire foot and the rubber sleeve to separate those two pieces.

The ones that I have encountered the actual ankle part of the leg gets broken and the foot peg will no longer sit inside of the ankle to move the foot. If you still have all the pieces you can glue them back together using industrial-strength superglue and it will hold for the most part. You're going to want to put the ankle post back into the ankle when you blew it so that when you try to pop the ankle or foot peg back into the ankle it will not dislodge the glue and crack the piece that you just put together. Be sure to continue to move the foot peg around so it does not get glued to the ankle otherwise it will not move.

If you let it dry for a solid 30 minutes it should be okay to put back together. Start by popping the foot back onto the foot piece and the ankle today then glue the rubber sleeve back onto the cat and then move on to tucking the fabric back in.

I'm pretty sure that I posted some pics of what it looks like and how I did it on this thread somewhere if I can find those pics I'll repost them again

Hi newbie on Spider-man here. I am seriously considering picking up this figure. What are the problems to check for in this figure when purchasing one? Does this too have the ankle problem like the TF exclusive Batman? Thanks.

sucks i missed out on this guy. amazing version will suffice

That was my same feeling before I got mine but I just don't care for the amazing version suit as much as this one. If you keep a look out in the for sale section he pops up every now and then.

This is still around for a decent price isn't it? Personally I'd pay $200 for this before paying $100 for the Amazing version.

Anyone? :dunno

It's possible but takes some work since this suit is all one piece and the symbiote spidey has a removable head sculpt. There are pictures of someone who was able to pull it off but it involves cutting the suit and whatnot which I would think is a tough process. But it is possible if one were so inclined

Oh *****!!

Weird that Black suit Spidey can do it and this one can't. Very annoying!

Not really. Black Spidey came second not first. Also some like the seamless neck design of the first one.

I did it, but you have to be REALLY careful WHERE you cut. If you don't you could ruin the figure permanently.

I got him this mornin! Really like him once you get some weird costume issues sorted.

Are the ankles supposed to spring back like that when you tilt them down?

Quick snap!

Some folks have had ankles snap on them, but I don't think that this has happened to many people so I wouldn't think it a general issue with the figure. I don't pose mine a lot though, so not sure how true this is.

Some folks have had to realign the mask because it wasn't properly centred - again, not widespread.

A LOT of folks have had the wrist pegs snap. This is a widespread issue, and pegs should be switched in and out with heat to avoid it.

The webs can sag over time too, ie they can droop when the figure is in a web-shooting pose.

Overall this is a reasonably trouble-free release. If I didn't have this figure I'd definitely pick it up :)

Yea man this is must have fig. Even though I enjoyed ASM more the second time around I had no desire for that figure. This is a perfect rendition of the movie version which is in the image of the Spidey I grew up with

Same here, I got about 4 or 5 different HT Batman variants but this guy is all I want in terms of Spiderman figs.

With my Kit bashed P P:
