Today ain't Friday. Today is SPIDEY!!!!!!

<<<<< Spoilered for space >>>>>

Well done DG! I love this version of Spiderman. It takes me right back to Spiderman Comics Weekly, when I was a boy. That box is something else isn't it? It is so simple and yet so classy, with that raised central spider emblem, it just kicks all sorts of booty!

Also, really feeling the love for the Spider 'family' that you have on display, even down to the Captain Action version.

Thanks for posting these my friend. :hi5:

With all the who-ha over the HT/Medi ASM figures, size, broken shoulders, restrictive suits, silly flip flop shoes.....

I decided to buy one of these guys! Just manged to pick one up here in the UK for a reasonable price.

Now just hope the ankles aren't shot to bits!!!

Good move! This piece is a gem (as is the Black suit). I'm baffled that this never skyrocketed on the aftermarket. Good for you though since you probably got a fair deal!

How are the ankles?

Yeah, I've had my eye in this version for years, but they seem to hover around £175-£225 and I felt that was too much for a figure with known issues (weak ankles and wrist pegs).
Picked this guy up in used, but mint condition for £142 delivered. I was hAppy with that.

Ankles seem ok. The rubber under boot has quite a memory so tries to return the foot to nuetral, but I don't think they're bust. I'm taking it easy with him, I absolutely love the figure! :D

Just bought one on eBay (thanks to furyan for hyping me into buying another figure!). Now the long wait for it to get here from HK.

Praying it doesn't have the broken ankles i heard about. Is that common?

Also can someone tell me what they mean by using a hair dryer before changing the hands?

Is there anything else to look out for? I'm not going to play with it or do any awkward poses, just don't want it to break considering the price!

I'm paranoid about ankle breakage... not sure how common it is, but I avoid unnecessary/frequent handling.
Applying heat, ie a hairdryer, softens the red wrist pegs, which tend to be brittle cold. Some people have broken their pegs trying to switch out the hands cold.
The web can droop over time. Cool figure, just a bugger to repair if something breaks.

Thanks for the reply! So apply some heat to the wrist pegs before putting on a different hand? How long for? I'm not a DIY/Custom kind of guy. When something breaks i tend to buy a replacement :slap

Looking forward to it.

Yes, 30-60 secs should do, not so much on the pegs but the parts they're going into/coming out of. Breaking a wrist peg is more trouble than it's worth, especially if you have to drill part of it out of the hand.

I broke a wrist peg off in one of the fists and spent at least two hours trying to get it out of there

now I use a pair of needle nose pliers when removing any wrist pegs
