you could hollow out the TT so that a thin layer of plastic only a few microns think remains on the outer surface. then fill it with helium, put the suit back on and stick him in the detolf. make sure to tie a string to his foot and the other end to your hand, otherwise he will fly away.

I am sure HT will make the adjustments in the places that have been pointed out but until they do I can't bring myself to PO this just incase they don't

trust me, all these are just marketing tactics.
1. win our hearts and trusts.
2. to show that they listens to fans and always looking for ways to improve their products.

all these tactics is to make us feel we are buying a quality product and from a company that listens to fans ideas, so we will keep buying their products from time to time.
its a mind games, who knows they have 2 proto, one looks 'better' than the other. they will always release the 'inferior' one first to show the world, then a short while later release the 'better' one and make us think they 'improve' from the old proto.

no offence to HT or HT fans, IMO watever their tactics is, wat most impt is the end product we are getting. and we can trust that they are delivering the best quality 1/6 fig in the market now.

I kinda doubt it. :nono

Cause this is a prototype. Chances are HT corrects the issues themself before any wannabefancorrectedphotochoppers send anything to them.

I kinda believe it. :exactly:

I'm sorry, but that sounds a little paranoid. I'm sure Hot Toys value their standing as the best producers of 1/6th figures, so I don't think they hold quality back on purpose on the first release. What I think happens is once a figure hits production, Hot Toys can see what can be improved on E.g Iron Man MK III BD compared to the MK IV. If you collected figures for a long time then you would no how far 1/6th has come in 5 years, and Hot Toys has played a major part in that.

Yeah, things will be worked on and improved. HT is one of the best at doing that. You're so correct on just how much things have improved in this market over the years. Its crazy.

I just can't get over how great this thing looks. :yess:

This is my favorite pose .............. this is exactly how mine will be displayed.

That will be wayyy to tall for a detolf shelf.

I personally doubt I will be using that rock thing though.

Partly the reason i went with toys2. I just don't wanna wait any longer than i have to for it.

There are plenty of poses you can put Spidey in using the rock thing, but if you specifically want him standing you could probably cut the rock thing to size.

Would've liked to see some ankle articulation being possible, but he's a good enough Spidey at a nicer than usual price. So it'll be a buy from me, but I'll take a shot at a few auctions to see if I can score it a smidge cheaper, before I go ahead and put in my pre-order.

I wonder if the hard boots will make it into production? and if they do who will be the first to try and modify them to flex?

THANKS

ìts odd that they would advertise this in all the mid-air poses and not provide the correct equipment to pull it off at home?

'good enough' and 'nicer than usual price' don't go together with this figure when the 'good enough' is awful plastic boots and the 'nicer than usual price' is the same as any other Hot Toys figure doing the rounds at the moment.

I'm hoping that a) HT do something about those boots and b) I don't get suckered into buying a figure that will in all likelihood go the same way as BB Bats and V1 Joker (ie they release a far superior Spidey soon after many folks have bitten on the V1 bait).

This is a purchase for the fans only. This is not a figure that is going to attract anyone on the basis of its price, its awesome quality or the abundance of accessories.
