I've never seen his arm that high up :panic:

Especially with the weight of his hammer.

Looks good. :hi5:

Btw, does the plastic shoulder holder from the cape have rubber on it?

Thanks bro, I was trying to get a classic Thor pose.

You mean the part where the cape tab "plugs" in? Are you still having cape trouble? I have two spares that stay in quite nicely if you're interested man.

:monkey2

But not on the body, the actual cape plastic up ontop.

Yeah, still driving me crazy. :gah:

How much for your spare. :yess:

So is Thor right handed or a lefty? Or does being a god grant you ambidexterity? I always see Thor holding his hammer with his right, and I pose him this way. Just wondering...

All three of mine just have plastic tabs, no rubber. Pm me a picture of your cape tabs...maybe your cape is fine and you body armor is messed up. (which I also have spares of)

Thor is right-handed but from time to time has tossed Mjolnir with his left hand. The figure specifically is right-handed as it has the red "cloth" on his hammer hand and also a better gauntlet than the left hand.

I did a little work on the cape. Thought it laid a bit flat.

Great mod man. :clap

Thanks. I also used a heat gun to bend the cape tabs so the cape rises up more off of his back.

how were you able to lift the arm that high without hitting the shoulder pads and the weight of the hammer bringing it down?

That is a really cool pose mate, how can you manage lifting that up? I'm little afraid doing that on my Thor

The shoulder pad does get in the way so the arm needs to bend out some at the shoulder and then back in at the elbow but it will clear it enough so that it looks natural. The biggest issue is twisting the "chain-mail" shirt as you raise the arm or it will keep it from going up.

The weight of the hammer wasnt an issue at all for me, my Thor has nice tight joints :D...even for those with looser joints though, if you get the hammer vertical it will not make the shoulder move. It may effect loose elbows though...

Glad you all like it :D

So I finally saw Thor last night, which is shameful, since I actually really liked the comic when I was little.

I am thus sorely tempted by this figure, although what I really want is a HT Loki. :arwen

Question though, has anyone put Perseus sized arms on the figure to make the armour fit better?

Some have used a T-800 body, but in my opinion this makes Thor look ridiculous. Search this thread for pics of this

I saw that. My thought was that the Perseus muscle arms are intermediate between a normal TT and gigantic Arnold muscles.

EDIT: I just saw a nude Thor TT on eBay and he is already sporting the Perseus-style arms.

His proportions are fine except for his legs at a profile view.

His arms seem to have gotten bigger for the Avengers movie though.

I tell you from the preveiws of Captain American I thought his costume sucked, but after seeing the actual Hot Toys figure, I can't wait to get one.

Don't pass HT's Thor up.
