looks like blue in here though.

So Im kicking around the idea of doing an earth Thor. Just for kicks I pulled my Thor apart and put my Connor shirt to see how it looks. I like it. I think the body looks right for the film and the shirt is definitely the correct color and cut. I will have to get another body, and do some serious modifying of the neck/head. Because the heads and hammers are so expensive, Im debating on recasting the head and using real hair for it. Gets around the cost and Im going to chop the hell out of it anyway. Here is the first test fit.

Can someone direct me to the part of the thread with info on how to remove his torso armor, and then fix the floppy elbow so he can hold the hammer?

Fixing/ Modding HT thor, looking for advice.

Couple of quick questions, as I'm sure the Thor thread is not getting as many looks as it used to.

After removing his rubber torso armor piece, what glue is recommended to glue it back shut? should i just use CA/ Super Glue?

Also, is there any recommended fix for his lose elbow, or should i just send it back to sideshow for an exchange?

IF I do the exchange, what are the odds that I'll get a replacement with loose elbows?

I was thinking about buying a Thor HS and doing the same thing. The HS is very expensive on the Bay. And I didn't want to risk taking my display one apart.

Yours looks awesome! Can't wait to see more!

I was gonna do the same hoping the headsculpt would have been cheap on eBay so in case I butcher doing the hair mod, it won't be too bad. But unfortunately it isn't. That's why I mentioned that I'm looking Forward to see how it looks, and if it looks good, maybe someone like robbie or someone else will commission to do that mod.

I think I might have to steal that idea! :)
It looks really good, plus it sounds like a good and easy way to give the tunic a better fit! I'll definitely try it out when I get the figure. Maybe I'll use something different than a battery though, with the leaking risk...

Anyway, thanks for sharing! :rock :rock :duff

I ended up using a pen cap, one of those cheap BIC ones. works like a charm. get the same look.
