:exactly: i agree with you sir:hi5:

I don't mind it, but they really need to include an alternate head that portrays some kind of emotion...hard to pose him in a confrontational stance with that blank look.

Indeed, you said it there, alternate head! I wouldn't mind that, but whatever they do, they shouldn't change this one IMO.

I would very much rather have this expression than the angry one. To me, the angry one would be a plus, a good alternative. And yes, it would look great on some dynamic poses. But as far as the majority of poses, this works better.

I plan on having an HT Avenger Assembly and my plan is for all of them standing together looking stoic.

Yep, same here! The chance of me posing him in a dynamic pose is slim to none. Maybe for some pics but not as a long time pose!

or at least something similar :D

I'm thinking Hot Toys should consider alternate heads with varied expressions or differences as a standard inclusion with all figures. Would make a great figure even better, kinda like the two heads that come with the new 1984 T-800. Just a thought.

:lol You mean like they already do with hands with alternate poses/grips?

You wouldn't hear me complain, but it would probably drive up the price quite a bit. And in that case... I might have to complain :lol

Yup like they do with the hands, but maybe only one other varied head option. I would take another cool head sculpt and minus a few hand alternates if that would help keep the price down a bit.

What about offering it as an option add on? For an extra $40 you can buy this with a 2nd head. Like an exclusive, but not as an exclusive.

Agreed on all accounts and just to be clear...
As I've stated before, I think the current HS works well with stationary poses. Not so much with poses implying movement or some action pose. And by all means, don't remove the current HS but include an additional battle cry HS or something along those lines.

The current batch of photos on the 1st page pretty much says it all.
Stationary poses, looks fine.
Action poses, doesn't match.

That would work for me. That way if a standard head was good enough you wouldn't have to pay for the other unless you wanted it. I think that Hot Toys is at a great point in time in their popularity and success to think about upping the game a bit in favor for us consumers and hopefully other companies will follow. I think that most of us would be willing to pay a bit more depending on the quality of product and amount choices we were presented.

I could see Hot Toys discussing this issue right now:
"We could offer the expensive version and the more expensive version." :D

I think a reason they might not make the extra head is cause of all the parts involved, removable hair and the magnets might be too much to throw in for free.

Plus the mag interview said they may plan a second Thor figure after Odin so theres still a chance later on for different sculpt. Unless its just a battle damaged version and they paint blood on the same sculpt :dunno

i was so looking forward to this figure, then with the first pics i was like WOW i love it, then when i saw the helmet on.... i am not so sure... am i the only one who thinks its sitting too high up?? looks silly.

Yeah, just like the Indy figure the head gear rides too high.

HT is really riding high right now and they're really in a spot to expand what and how they offer products. An option for a second head for more money would be snapped up. Imagine a 2nd rage sculpt for Wolverine or a bloodied Rocky?

And why stop at heads? How about another set a clothes option? If people are willing to pay top dollar for their products, I'd be making more products.
