Re: Hot Toys MMS- Thor (Chris Hemsworth) 1/6 Limited Edition Figure Full Specs + Pics

$135 is asking too little, since the body isn't just some ol' narrow TT. The more specialized bodies put the price a little higher.

Agreed. I didn't say it should be $135, I'm just saying you can easily compare these figures to each other and the price for Thor should be around that $135. $150 something is fair and that keeps me interested in the figure.

At $200 something, for me, uh no and that's :lol.

Only 20, try 41 Hot Toys figures with 5 more on pre-order. :panic:
Why do you people keep quoting that I said ill have 20 figures by 2012? Y'all act like no one ever had more figures than you did.

Buy from Alter Ego Comics! :exactly: :goodpost: (If I do say so myself!)

Plus they have reward points. They ship at the same time (or sooner) that BBTS and their prices are cheaper. What's not to like?

Price wise, :lol sorry but I don't think this figure justifies anything over $150...at the max!

Alter Ego is typically the cheapest...I'll see what they post it for. However, if I'm debating between this and Spidey...guess my decision just got made for me as he's only $135 for a comparable figure.

i say why not both lol im picking up spiderman no doubt and thank you i will deff check out alterego:hi5:

Re: Hot Toys MMS- Thor (Chris Hemsworth) 1/6 Limited Edition Figure Full Specs + Pics

Educated guess based on observation. I'm sure that Thor shares the same body as the 4 aforementioned figures because: the neck is the same, none of the pics show the elbows bent further than 90 degrees, in some of the photos you can see the distinct shape of the arms.

Most importantly, the specs read 'muscular body', which eliminates the possibility of a TT Advanced or TT hybrid. The overall size and bulk of the figure matches that of a figure using the Wolvie body and finally I'm 100% sure HT didn't develop a new muscle body for this figure because they want to maximize profits by re-using a body that is mostly hidden under full-body clothing.
Ok cool. I guess I missed the muscular body part when I was reading the specs.

A bit steep for wolvie body and a few hands......i'll get this one from someplace like alter ego to keep the price right. Awesome looking figure which must be added to my Marvel collection :yess:

Well I hope I end up with both...and a Ghost Rider, and a Cap, and a '89 Batman and Joker, and a Reeve's Superman, and on, and on, and on. :wink1:

Trying to keep it in perspective and be aware of what's coming. HT's can have a lot of my money or a select bit of it as I have a price I'm willing to pay for what the product is. This figure isn't a $200 figure...glad it's at a price I think it warrants (at the most), $150 at AE.

I'm going to wait until the film comes out to decide whether or not to pick this one up. I don't see there being a problem of picking him up around that time.

Im a huge Thor fan but may have to wait on this one until I see the Avengers design. It will be different, different director and Art and design team makes me optimistic for something better. Hoping by that time Hoy Toys will have made a larger body not only in thickness but height so he isnt the same height as Wolverine or Spider-man.

Good for AE being at the $150 range for this.
I think that's a more appropriate price (relatively speaking of course).

It's amazing how just how big a deal a $20 savings really can be!

If you save $20 per figure purchase, after just 9 bought you saved enough for the 10th to be for free.

For me, AEC is saying to me....."Here Joe, your 10th figure purchase is on us, thank you for your business"

For me personally every dollar counts, especialy when real life is fighting for every single dollar of mine that I want to use for toys :lol

Thank you AEC for helping me buy food :rock :bow :rock

I just wish they were nicer on the phone :lol

Marc at Alter Ego is a really nice guy. He's been around here for a long time. I remember when he was just getting the business started online. I order straight from Sideshow so I can put the RP towards figures like Stalker, Dusty, Etc that I want and can get for half price.

Ordered at SS. :yess:
Was hoping it would be like Wolvie and I'm glad it was. Was worried there at first when I saw the post saying he's $200. That's too much but $170 is good. Showed it to my friend and he asked me to preorder one for him too :)

do we know it's the wolverine body and not commedian/dastan/whatever the other, not hairy one was? Just wondering is all.
Also, his elbows don't look like the wolverine, but I could be mistaken.

Meh, Regardless, I'll likely swap him to a TTadvance....
provided sideshow isn't selling him at 200$
