mine arrived in Australia just now.
Fedex guy has just been.
the shipper is saturated in water and of course,with it so wet,it has seeped thru to the outer box.
Of course when water and colour mix then u get runny colours.
The white outer paper that is wrapped around the inside of the box is all red and blue now.
Had to wipe the box down so there wont be any mildew.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

figure etc is perfect still...box will be ok,just a pain in the @55!!

arrghhh! hope mine is ok! mine arrived in brisbane yesterday, scheduled for delivery tommorow, why fed ex oh whyyyy, leave it sitting at the airport for 2 days?!?!

Got mine today, awesome looking figure! The likeness is alot more like Evans once in hand...not saying its perfect but its better.
My only gripe is that the "A" is slightly askew and kinda crooked...its only slight though so I dont know if Im bothered enough to go jumping through hoops to try and get a replacement head.

My Cap arrived from SS today as well....a solid B+ figure. No major QC issues, everything is straight...the shield had some minor scuff marks but no big deal. The white areas are a bit too gray; the Evans sculpt is pretty good in hand...although he does have black hair (d'oh!)...it is kinda short too. I did get long pegs, but the original peg stayed in one of the boots & I wasn't in the mood to try to fight it out (been down that road before & wasn't about to inflict damage in the first hour I had it). My biggest gripe is probably the seam on the neck, but it's not noticeable from normal viewing/ display distance. All in all a very good figure and it will look good next to my IM MK VI when it gets here in a day or two & Thor on X-Mas day as a present from my wife!

Side show's website is stating this is on back order with a estimated release date of January, can any one who had not yet gotten their order from side show confirm what the is indeed the expected date?

Ah okay, well where I pre-ordered mine it originally said it will be released this month but they have since changed it to Q1 2012 which is annoying since when I ordered and paid it was meant for this month

It's my understanding they are getting them in split shipments, they just went thru the first batch with the next batch coming in January.

Well I guess its the latest we can expect to see it in January as they will not distribute to the various retailers until they fulfill their own orders.

Direct from Sideshow.
It is cheaper than Ebay,shipping is working out around $20 to $30USD now with Ebay,plus the reward pts are building up for something bigger.

If you go the Etailer route,you pay at least $20 to sometimes $50 more.

So Sideshow is good,Ebay if you are early and get the cheaper price.

FOr some unknown reason my Cap arrived on the weekend and stayed at Fedex the whole time awaiting delivery.It could have been here Monday..today being wednesday in AUS ATM.

Well I ordered mine I believe from an etailer(guess site outside of ebay?) and it only cost me 167.99AUD with free shipping(got it during a 20% off hot toys sale) so they is the only consolation I feel for having to wait so damn long lol

got 2 caps from sideshow. both have crooked A's on the helmet and one has a crooked star on the chest. gonna contact them about replacements. i'm 0/3 on my last 3 sideshow purchases. had a problem with batman/bruce wayne, reeve superman and now cap. hot toys QC really sucks.

Yep. In fact yours looks exactly like mine, crooked star and all. I was wondering about the gray too but I guess it's how HT did it.

The star and A look crooked on that pic above to me.
