hmmm, wonder if the same thing is going to happen with Bespin Luke, if all US/Canada retailers are giong to get the Sideshow Exclusive with the helmet! If that is the case I will be pissed since I already ordered through sideshow without free shipping and paid them a $30 deposit!

No, the other vendors did not list them as their exclusives. The Luke Vader is SS only, and this will likely be too.

Jack was a special case.

I think the silver/white webbing works best against the black instead of the red and blues. I always liked my Spidey to have black webbing. I may get the 'Amazing' version.

I just placed an order for the regular version with free shipping (I still had the link).
Plus I used $21.75 in reward points that I had. Still undecided if I'll display Peter Parker's head on Spidey's body or create a separate Peter Parker figure (leaning towards the latter).

why would you want anything that would remind you of Spider-man 3? The alien costume was'nt even done right, the comics had a unique design but for the movie they just made the regular costume greyscale.. Green Goblin 2 was weak as well... arrgh.. just to aggravating to talk about.

Some comic book designs simply don't work in real life, and the black costume is one of them. A smooth, shiny bluish black costume would just be boring to watch. I'm glad they went with the design they did for the movie. Plus that white spider symbol from the comics with the jagged, wrap-around design is pretty ugly, to be honest.

I loved the Symbiote design of the movie. It was still Spider-Man, but an a-hole Spidey. It wasn't too agressive looking, but still a bit edgy. I'm glad they left the agressive look (messy webbing, bigger Spider symbol, muscular appearance) for Venom only, to show he's much more aggressive, reflecting Brock's personality.

I agree with both sides. I love the original black comic suit and the movie design.

I guess it just depends on whether or not you want to collect comic books style figures or movie style. I lean toward movie myself.

I think it also depends on how much you liked this movie and the figure. For me, I loved Spiderman 3. Yes there were some very cheesy parts but Symbiote Spiderman was awesome. Loved seeing it fleshed out in the movie and I also loved seeing Harry coming into his own and kick Peter's pompous ass.

The movie design gave the Symbiote what it was lacking in the comic book, some well needed detail.

I think Spidey 3 was awesome. Yes, the dance scenes could've been left out, but the fights were damn awesome. I would love to see a HT statue-like figure (like that Samurai Predator) of Peter ripping off the black suit in the bell, more specifically when Peter bumps into it and the suit screams.

No, Spiderman 3 was terrible.. just too bad compared to Spiderman 2.. The fact that MJ was kidnaped by 3rd time, the dances, the emo look of Peter, the bad then good sandman, the fact they changed the murderer of Ben Parker, the bad then good Harry, the symbiote came from nowhere, Venom wasn't well done...

Yup it sucked. But the symbiote suit was the only good thing. Still can't justify this figure though.

Me too, regarding the part in bold..

I didn't mind S3 - in fact you could say I kinda liked it.. but the black suit was a really nice design, no doubt there.

Spider-Man 3 was definitely the worst of the bunch, I didn't mind the emo stuff, it was funny in the same way as the "raindrops keep falling on my head" scene from S2.

I loved the way Sandman looked, probably the most true to the comic of any Superhero movie character yet. I'd like to see a HT of him.

Hated new goblin (the HT figure is quite nice though but I wouldn't get it)
